Until I tried these, I thought a tight hold and discomfort were synonymous. I had no idea that my hair sticks hurt. They even hold a loose twist of hair very well. They have a bit of a flex and are very smooth. I am a tender headed, stringy hair Texas blonde. These even work in my hair.
