Excellent monitor especially for the price
I purchased this to replace a 22" ACER monitor that died on me. I'm very happy with my purchase. I don't play games on my PC so the 2ms response time wasn't a reason for my purchase. I was attracted more to the price. I paid $149 on Amazon. When I first hooked it up the colors and brightness needed adjusting from their default settings, but it looks excellent now. Also I had to set my video card's HDMI overscan/underscan settings to 0%, because it was set to 15% underscan by default and the picture didn't fill the entire monitor screen. This was my video card's default setting, so it was not the monitor's fault. I had my old monitor hooked up with the DVI output of my videocard so I had never noticed that setting before. The monitor itself is very thin with a sturdy stand and although it has a red tint to it around the screen, you can't tell that it isn't black unless you shine a light right on it. It isn't noticeable at all in the room I have it in even with all the lights on in the room. I have to shine a flash light on it to see the red tint.Full HD monitor that looks and works excellent for $149. How can you go wrong! If there are any faults with it at all it would have to be that it has only one HDMI input. This would only be a fault if you wanted to hook up something other than one computer to it. I don't so this wasn't an issue for me.

Great display, stupid buttons.
Overall excellent. I'm not a video professional so can't attest to the technical quality, but it looks better than most I've seen, and although there's some backlight bleed I don't consciously notice as I do with other displays.Biggest complaint and only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 are the touch-sensitive buttons on the front (I have these dumb things on three different Samsung devices now). Sometimes it takes me more than 30 seconds to press a button correctly. Cool idea but the technology needs some work. Easy solution though is to always keep the remote nearby.

Just being honest
Out of the box I had high expectations for this monitor. It was light, thin, looked very elegant with a 4 1/2 star rating. And hey how could you beat a 199$ price tag. After plugin the monitor in i realized a major issue. The colors and contrast were horrendously off. More so than I have ever seen on any monitor. The settings to fix the issue were useless and after an hour of fidgeting I gave up.Just simply disappointed.

Fantastic Gaming Monitor. However this monitor is apparently subject to clouding over a few months.
Crisp, beautiful picture, with a 2ms response time. What's not to love?Really the only problem I had was the fact that it only shipped with a vga cable which I find very strange but thanks to the other reviews I knew beforehand and just bought one with it as a combo.Unfortunately after 3 or 4 months this monitor started getting really bad clouding near the bottom right corner of the monitor. It's too bad because I really liked it otherwise.

A good LCD, but not a flawless one.
This is a very solid monitor, with vivid colors, solid viewing angles, and a sleek look. I can't give this monitor 5 stars because the one I received doesn't deserve 5 stars. It has significant light bleed, especially along the bottom of the screen, that's quite noticeable when the screen is dark. It's not bad enough for me to want to spend a week or two without a monitor, so I'll keep it.If this was a $120 monitor, I might not care, but its not.I imagine this issue varies from monitor to monitor, but I'm rating the product I got, not the product I wish I'd gotten.

I am a long time user of Samsung products!
I have a lot of things Samsung. One LCD TV and one 3D LED LCD TV, this is my second LED monitor, my phone, a laptop and a number of other items. Clearly, I am a fan of Samsung. I purchased a 22" for my wife at Best Buy a while back and paid $20 more than I did for this one. The biggest difference I see between the two (other than size of course) is that her monitor has 2 HDMI inputs and this only has one. The other also has speakers and came with an HDMI to Micro USB cable that I actually needed to use my phone with an HDMI monitor. This monitor has a bright, vibrant picture. The quality is awesome! The setup is a snap.Pro's:Brilliant picture qualityEasy setupVery thin designCon's:The stand is not adjustable (the monitor can tilt slightly, but cannot move up and down)Only one HDMI inputOnly comes with a standard VGA cableFor me, I don't need an adjustable stand so I could care less and I had two extra HDMI cables, and it just so happens, I really only need to plug my laptop into this monitor. So for me, this was a great buy. I am giving five stars as this fits my needs exactly and the picture quality is awesome. For someone needing 2 or more HDMI inputs, this is not for you. Also, someone who needs built in speakers (I never use them as my speaker system sounds 100% better) then you may want to look for another model.

Screen is great... stand is so-so
Love the screen, and that's mostly what you buy this for of course...but I've bought similar ones from Samsung in the past and the newer ones have far less quality stands. They just seem cheap.

broke after 6 months, lied to from samsung support
For weeks samsung support said they were sending me a return shipping label via us mail, only to learn 18 days after the first promise that the option never existed, now I have to ship the monitor to them at my own expence or have it repaired locally at my own expence.
