Buyer Beware!!! Extremely unsafe out of the box!!!
Before you install and fire up the heater look it over very carefully!! Out of the box it was totally unsafe! Where do I start? Out of the box I found a nut and washer loose in the box. They went to the blade guard. The other 3 nuts were only half way on so the whole fan and guard were just flopping around. The front and side had dents and signs of being a little crushed. No indication on the box so must have been done before boxing. Next I saw that the exhaust duct was loose and soon realized that the 3 screws that hold the induced draft motor and gasket inside the heater were more than half way in. There was a good 1/8th inch + gap. I'm sure a good portion of the carbon monoxide in the exhaust would have ended up in my garage. So I opened up the heater and tightened up just about all the nuts and screws I could find. The mesh burner screen was just laying loose inside. Also the heat wrapper on the left side was not attached to the heater. The rivets and washers are there, they just don't go through the wrapper to hold it. I can only concluded this was all intentionally done by the person assembling the heater! Too many things wrong to be an accident!

Things are heating up.
You won't do better than this in my opinion. Heats up my 32x24 garage in minutes and is less expensive than the competitors.

Heater is not a plug and play appliance
After reading the instructions, I decided to call a heater professional and glad I did. The installation instructions advises the use of a professional and to be on the safe side I did. I converted this unit to propane and had to change out the orifices, which wasn't a big deal, but there were several adjustments, i.e., propane regulator adjustments on propane line coming into shop, the internal conversion of a pressure valve inside the heater itself, and a few other tweaks that the service professional knew about that I didn't. Now that the adjustments are made it appears to work fine. I will complete instillation after Christmas, then will determine if it heats the area advertised. But, so far, so good.

Exactly what I wanted.
I purchased this unit about 5 years ago for a new shop I had built. The area I heat is 50'x30'x14'. I had concerns with the the ability to heat the area with the high ceilings, but to my delight it has done an excellent job. I did insulate my building with about 15-18" blown insulation in the ceiling, and R19 walls. I leave it a constant 50 deg.F all winter and bump it up to 60 when I'm working. I usually use around 150 gal per/yr of propane with low temps of 0 and average temps 25-35 F.

Over all satisified. Best price around!
I rated 4 star because there was some damage done to the heater when it arrived. Minor damage, but damage. 2 out of 5 (or 6) heater vent clips (that move up and down to direct the flow of the air coming out) were bent. Not enough damage to send the unit back and wait for another one, or to bother with replacement parts. Not sure if it was shipped that way or happened during shipping. Unit works great, no problems so far. Been several weeks since installed. Bought for a large garage, heats area good. Quick and easy installation. Recommend for anyone looking to use gas heat for larger shops. Cheaper way to heat a large cold area.
