I used this valve to regulate hot water heat hooked up to a thermostat. It worked good in the beginning but later the valve stiffened up to where the motor can not operate it. I took the cover off and could see the gears shaking back and forth trying but not able. Took off the mini board and the gear unit that exposed the valve stem and was able to turn it with pliers and was very stiff. Water temp is about 180 max through it. Good idea but oh well. Recent update:I emailed the manufacturer of the valve with description of the problem along with my Amazon invoice, and they got back very fast. After a few questions and connection verifications, they promptly replaced the valve. It was within the one year warranty.

I don't have long term/reliability data on it, it was just installed. It worked well in testing. I am using it as a valve to block off my pool cleaner when the spa is in use, which would otherwise backflow and drain the spa.The only improvement I would make is that it has no indication of open/close state when installed. In my application, it is very important to know the state of the valve, since stopping that with pump operating can destroy the pump. The fact that the operation is automatic is nice, it will not run after completing it's open/close cycle.

I use these in my Carwash business, they are easy to install and no maintenance required, they don’t overheat light others we used before.

Purchased Nov 19, 2018. Connected it to a network relay board, ran my entire house water through it, and gave myself the ability to remotely turn the house water off and on. I did that back around Christmas of 2018. Here we are in June of 2024, and this little valve still closes whenever I tell it to (it's always open). I have the normally closed version, so this is being held open with a constant 12v line, connected to a battery backup. Highly recommended.

I purchased a SS-MS V 00019 (Motorized Ball Valve- 3/4" Brass Electrical Ball Valve with Standard Port, 9-24V AC/DC and 3 Wire Setup by U.S. Solid) but it is only a ½ inch ball valve with three quarter inch fittings on the end. The through diameter is 7/16ths of an inch. I measured a real three quarter inch ball valve and it was 11 sixteenths diameter through the inside. Needless to say this won’t work because I wanted this for my main three quarter inch water line coming into the house. Also the data sheet that came with the product said and I quote “Some valve bodies consist of brass which contain lead therefore it should not be installed for drinking water.” It also said “Please install it horizontally” and I wanted it for vertical installation this information was not listed on the PDF installation manual, under Product Guides and Documents. Needless to say I will be returning this product.

I did a test using two of these valves, they lasted 10k cycles with 15psi across the valve, cycling once a minute. My test stopped after 10k cycles, valves were still in good condition.

I really liked the product, but the brass model is not suitable for potable water unfortunately. The brass they use is not lead free, so be aware of this. They do recommend to use a stainless steel model for drinking water, but I found it's complicated in terms of finding the stainless steel PEX fitting, since you can't mix steel and copper fittings

I cannot comment on longevity as this valve has only been installed in the gas supply of my saiboat for a few weeks.The main advantage over a solenoid valve is that these units power down once the valve is open or closed. I found with the solenoid controlled valve ,which needs to be energized to stay open becomes very hot if the valve was open for long time, as when I was using the gas heater in my boat during the cold months.

Lasted about 2mths. Pulls air now and screws up my entire $1500 chemical mixing station. Would love a replacement with proper epdm or viton seals.
