Q: Will the mosaic palette2pro interface directly with octoprint instead of the communications hub?

Yes it will. You will need the palette plug-in from as documented at https://support.mosaicmfg.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012423734-Setup-Guide-DIY-CANVAS-Hub-OctoPi-CANVAS-and-P2-Plugins- You do not have to use the canvas plug-in unless you are using their canvas slicer. If you are using simplify3d, cura, slicer, ... you just slice as normal, save the gcode, and load it into their chroma software. Make sure chroma is configured for connected mode, have chroma process the file, and save it. You can now transfer the chroma generated .mcf.gcode file to octoprint. Under the palette tab in octoprint make sure the palette is connected, as long as it is you will be able to print the .mcf.gcode file.

Q: is this easy to swap from 1 printer to another? like have it connected to my prusa i3 mk2s printer then connect it to my cr-10s?

Yes, it's very easy to swap between printers. The only point of contact from Palette to your printer is a Teflon tube that connects to your printer's extruder, so you would simply remove the tube from one printer's extruder (using our provided extruder clip) and attaching it to another print. Also, since your Prusa is a direct drive and your CR-10 is a Bowden, we provide different lengths of tubing to optimize your setup. Q: Will this work with a creality cr10 s pro?

No! Mosaic has been trying to get mine to work for weeks.
