I would not recommend this product
I received this product and installed batteries but it never worked!! Contacted manufacturer on 4/11/2018, same day received and they promised to ship another and still have not gotten it. I would not recommend this product!

Nice and big
We purchased to help us look at art and old comic (Prince Valiant) books. Nice and big, and really makes a difference when you want to appreciate fine details. Got one for the in-laws, and my mother-in-law loves it!

LED lights did not work and for someone with Macular Degeneration the lights are critical.
Gave to mother, with Macular Degeneration, unfortunately the LED lights did not work. Tried different new batteries. I wanted to return, but the return 'window' closed. (brought it to her when I visited and unpacked it then ... was too late). The magnifier was a bit flimsy but I expected that considering the price. For someone with Macular Degeneration the lights are critical... we thought a working version might work for her, but I'm not going to try this company again.

Not what I expected
I gave it to an elderly friend so she could read her Bible. The image of the letters is very distorted because the magnifying effect is focus in a small circular area in the center and not on the whole page, not even on a complete line on the writing. The legs on the device do not offer a comfortable advantage because one has to view the page from the top of the magnifier. It was not comfortable looking straight down on it. Hand held magnifying tools are heavy for her hands, but are much better for reading because the image is even all across the page. I do not recommend this magnifying glassfor reading a book.

My friend can read books again
I bought this for my 85 year old lady friend. She was having trouble reading small print even with glasses and was using a magnifying glass and bright light. I found this and ordered it for her. She loves it! She says she can now catch up on her reading.It’s plastic, of course, to make it light weight. Time will tell how well it holds up. She just received it. I’m giving it 4 stars at this time just because the plastic legs seem like they could break if dropped but then I don’t know this for sure yet.

Feet Lock Mechanism Needs Improvement
Bought this for 97yo woman with failing eyesight. Like the retractable feet feature. However, the mechanism to lock the feet in the up position is very hard for her to apply. Her hand strength is somewhat weak. Perhaps future updates will address this issue. Would be happy to 'beta test' any update & provide feedback.

Magnifier works, however the reason why I'm rating it 1 star and the reason why I purchased this is because it had a light. I changed the batteries three different times thinking it was batteries. I think it just might be a defective one I received.

Great for small print book
Perfect for small print books. Love the light and the book marks. I have over a hundred books that I wasn't able to read and now I can. So happy with it that I'm ordering another one.
