Love it!
I recently received the Better Life Architect pasta machine/roller and I love it! I’m still new at making homemade pasta but I’ve been rolling it out by hand and this roller has saved me time and has helped greatly when trying to reach the desired pasta thinness and for cutting the pasta at an even and quicker speed!

Christmas Gift Successful!
I bought this for my partner who's been wanting to make pasta fresh. Their mother bought them the pasta maker from KitchenAid however we were both concerned that the KitchenAid (who has been used for well over a decade) would eventually croak and so I had already planned and ordered this pasta maker and it was to my surprise that their mother had already purchased this (I was nervous and was about to return it).Long story short we had pasta last night for dinner and thanks to this device it was extremely easy and helpful. The clamp was great, it was very stable and my partner had no issue making the pasta. My partner prefers this over the KitchenAid because he doesn't have to depend on another device or electricity to make the pasta.Don't mind the water stains in the picture we had used it and washed it and did not have adequate amount of time to dry it. Other reviews complained and mentioned rust however that was not an issue for us.

Not impressive but worked.
Yes it did the job, but it was kind of a hassle. He crank kept falling off, the dough wouldnt run through smoothly. I'd probably splurge for a better quality next time.

Works great, inexpensive option
Works great for someone new to making pasta and doesn't want to spend a fortune. The thickness adjusts and the unit clamps onto the counter with little help.

Shipped heavily rusted and unsafe for use, squeaky, and unacceptable.
This product shipped out of the box unsafe for use, as it was so drowned in a heavily rusted liquid that the rust was dripping and spilling out of the rollers, causing an unbelievably loud screeching when rolled, even after multiple attempts at cleaning it (at that point only from the outside). It was loud enough to be uncomfortable; that's how bad the rusting was on day one. So, even though it's marketed as an aluminum alloy, the manufacturer fails to mention that the inside is a clearly rust prone material. All photos are taken after I tried to wipe the parts down multiple times (so the rusty liquid dripped from the screw, for example, was 3 paper towels into trying to clean it and the other parts).1: The metals used to make this are harshly stamped, which leaves very jagged and sharp edges, so unscrewing the parts to CLEAN your product (necessary to clear the rusty liquid/squeaking inside, which is already grounds to take this product off Amazon and pursue legal action in any event of damages, historically speaking) puts you at a greater risk of injury and a tetanus infection. As shown, when disassembling this product, I was cut by the frame and considering that this company shipped this product in a condition where the inside is flooded by heavily rusted liquid, any tetanus infections would be their liability. Yes I'm dumb for getting cut, but that does not remove the company's obligation to compliance with food safety laws nor their need for accountability by shipping a product that can damage your health. End of story.2: Ingesting rust may not be inherently poisonous, but it is obvious that rust isn't a food safe thing to eat and food administrations around the world recognize it as such. In the photo where I show pasta dough with a line of rust on the side, know that it was after trying multiple times to clean it from the outside by running water over it, fitting a paper towel between the rollers and the frame with water and later olive oil, and coating every space I could with more olive oil later (it still squeaked again within 2 or so minutes of use and dripped more rusty liquid from the rollers. So, the flood of liquid rust coming out of the rollers just squeezed into my dough and there is nothing I could do about it.3: The machine is listed as being made of an aluminum alloy and it is marketed to be washer safe. The inside mechanics and dowel of the main roller obviously has a rust-prone part in it though, and given that consumers aren't likely intended to unscrew and disassemble this item, it's very safe to assume that people would try to wash the main component as well, developing more rust even if this thing didn't ship rusted. If long time customers started to develop health problems as a result, this company would absolutely be liable.4: There have been lawsuits in the past because people develop serious health issues using any number of unsafe products on amazon, whether they're cooking related or not. It is just a fact that this item falls under that category and that other reviews on this product explicitly say that their products rusted too, which means that this item needs to be taken down from Amazon at minimum.Do not buy this. I've bought upwards of 10 pasta machines for myself and my friends over the years and this is the only one that I've purchased which has this issue. This is completely and utterly unacceptable.
