The tool is fine, but you will need to study the drawings, which are poorly done, in order to figure out how to use the tool, unless you have used similar tools before. I have knocked a couple of stars off for the absolute gibberish of the attempt to write instructions by people with almost no command of the written English language. That said, this really is a heavy duty tool but a couple of 16 inch long pipes that can fit over the tool handles will be needed for the leverage to crimp the strapping clamp over the very stiff polyester strap, if that is what you will be trying to do. Otherwise, buy a tool with longer handles or buy softer strapping material.

Amazon offered this to me as often purchased with the 1/2" green polyester (not polypropylene) band I was buying. Well, I made that same mistake, but you don't need to follow in my footsteps.If you are thinking of banding with polyester, don't buy this!! The band material is too thick for crimping using the short (12") handles on this thing. Trying to crimp on polyester strapping requires bracing one of the handles against a surface, and this model is not made for that. Go bend some iron bars instead -- it'll be just about as easy.If you ever plan to crimp polyester, which is just a little thicker than polypropylene, do yourself a favor and buy a crimper with the longest handles you can find. I ordered one with 20" handles for not much more money, and wow, what a difference!

It is working for me. No problems yet. Perhaps I need more muscle. After doing it 20 times. I get a workout.

I recently had to use strapping to firmly secure several large boxes with heavy contents for storage and shipping. The PAC Strapping ES48 Regular Duty Manual Sealer was just what I needed. It's reasonable price and solid construction was a big plus and it worked well for my purposes. I don't know how it would hold up on a warehouse dock doing hundreds of packages a week. But for a single user with basic needs for sealing closures on parcel and shipping strapping it's a winner at the right price.

We use this with a heavy duty tensioner and S-40 strapping clips. Works well. Takes a few times to get use to doing it by yourself, but can an employee can easily use the tensioner and this sealer with the clips by themselves after a few tries. The equipment is solid, I think it will last for years.

I was always annoyed when I had to cut these off a package. Now I can use these straps to confidently secure my own packages. I use it to tie many things together in my home. heavy duty and super strong.

Solid product. Does what it's supposed to do. However, sometimes it takes a little extra effort to clamp all the way down.
