Make sure that the pad is CENTERED on the backer pad. If it is not centered it will shorten the lifespan of the polishing pads.4. When wet polishing, use a continuous flow of water at low RPM for best results and finish. Also the polisher pad will last longer. 5. In general polishing starts with grit 50 diamond polishing pad, and is consumed more than higher grits diamond polishing pads, grit 1500#, 3000# is less effective for polishing rough surface. 6. The lower grits (50#, 100#, 200#, 400#, 800#) is designed for either Wet or Dry usage.
