Mixes easily into food
I've tried a few different brands for my three-legged dog. Dorwest Herbs is by far the easiest to mix in to her food - just a teaspoon of warm water breaks these pills down and makes it exceptionally easier to mix in to any food. Unlike other ones where I've had to literally grind the pills down or try to get her t eat as a treat (not always successful. . . ).

Small 175mg tablets: easy for the dog to swallow & almost tasteless (a good thing)
Most dog breeds exhibit certain physiological weaknesses. An English Rough Collie is a breed well-known for athleticism, strong prey drive, general friendliness – and a genetic predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia due to their rather delicate skeletal structures and joints (underneath all the double-coated fur, their skeletons resemble those of whippets). At 15 months old, for the third time in six months my Collie returned from a run around a large meadow, visibly limping. The X-rays revealed elbow dysplasia: there is a malformed joint between the radius/ulna and the humerus on one of the front legs, and he needed a V-PET (Veterinary Platelet Enhancement Therapy) procedure to fix it, which was fortunately 100% successful. It's therefore important that he’s given nutritional support for the joints.Turmeric is widely recognised and recommended by vets as the medicine of choice in such situations, as it’s a strong anti-inflammatory when taken regularly. This 175mg formulation from Dorwest contains Bioperine to assist in absorption, and although each tablet is a small dosage - my dog needs circa 1,200mg every second day to guarantee continued effectiveness, as determined by body weight - the great thing is that he will actually swallow it, probably because it’s a tablet formulation rather than a granular powder in a hardshell capsule, so doesn’t have a strong taste. The manufacturer claims you can administer it whole or hide it in your pet’s food as each tablet is so small, and this seems to work OK.

Turmeric tablets
Tried these for about 4 months but cannot honestly say they worked for my dog. Maybe ok for another dog. She wasn't keen on the tablets either and managed to avoid them in her dish frequently so had to wrap them in something she liked separately.
