SHIMANO 14 Spheros SW 8000HG

Very smooth and strong well built reel. No difference from the Saragosa other than a couple of internal parts, one being an additional bearing and a hundred dollar bill. Filled with 40# Sufix and installed on a 13fishing Envy XH 8’ Tarpon rod. Excellent set up for larger tarpon. I also use it trolling for mahi-mahi, kingfish, and billfish and I use it for jigging. And it has a smooth drag and is water tight.

Awesome reel. Going catch some big ulua (Gt's) with it but so far only caught a 5lb kaku (barracuda) with it was fun but not what im after!

excellent quality and extremely smooth operation

the stock drag (3 washers all felt) in this reel can not handle big fish, this weekend i took it out for tarpon after the second fish the drag had faded so bad that the max drag i could get on a scale was 12# after 3 the drag is in little burned up pieces. Carbon Tex replacement drag already on its way. be warned 12# of drag and a 250 yrd run from a tarpon and its game over for your drag. if you buy this reel go ahead and get a carbon drag on order too. other then the drag the reel feels good no other issues so far.

I recommend this reel and $140 is a fair price for it.Very well made, good insulation, parts from more expensive "Saragosa" model inside.A little more time to come from Japan. Would buy again.

丈夫そうに作られている感じがします。だけど、こんなに重いとは思わなかった。（ま～値段が安いから仕方ないか）

一日、しゃくっていたら次の日、筋肉痛になった。

ドラグ性能がおかしいです。極端に締まるか、または緩むか。微妙な調整は難しいです。スペックで重たいのは分かっていましたが、まさかここまで重いとは…6時間振り続けると腕はパンパンで筋肉痛に悩まされます。来季は別なのを買います。

パワー＆使用感共に満足です。価格以上の性能と思いました、お勧めします！
