Gourd Black Woven Loop Material, Wide Loop Fabric 28" x 48"

Great low-profile loop fabric for the money.Comparing it to the Velcro Brand 3610 Low-profile velcro fabric (pictured on the right) the Gourd fabric is the same thickness but has a plusher velvety feel. The gourd fabric also has a small amount of stretch compared to the Velcro brand that has none. While both grab Velcro hook well, the Velcro brand is slightly stronger. Lastly, the color of the Gourd fabric is a slighty bluer black, whereas the Velcro brand is a deeper black.Considering the Velcro 3610 is almost twice the cost and you can only order it from a select few stores (not Amazon), this Gourd fabric has great value.Please note: this fabric is not intended to be as thick or as strong as the loop side of velcro that you buy in strips. This is intended to be a low-profile, low-use loop fabric used for covering large areas.

I used these to black out my bmw x5 windows so I can sleep in privacy and in darkness from street lights. Easy to fold and feels durable. I did not cut or trim these at all so no fraying on my part. I have heavy duty velcro sticker on the interior window plastic trim pieces and these stick fine to them. Not really optimized for heavy duty velcro but still works good enough that I don't have to go out and buy normal smaller velcro texture.

Moderately heavy and seems durable. Once of my pieces had two small slits along fold lines.

As far as first impressions goes not so good, the fabric didn't seem as thick as most velcro loop sides. And one edge had a how bunch of sewing/seem holes, not sure if it was the end of the bolt or what. Luckily the piece was already bigger than needed. A little spray adhesive and home made frame, boom, got a pedal board son. Using 3m extreme indoor outdoor hook side, you can hold the board upside down and shake it, those pedals are going nowhere! (yes I actually tried) So all in all, pretty good product and would buy again.

This is not strong velcro, but if you use it for moral patches it is perfect! The loops are not super grippy, but when mounted on the wall for moral patches it is perfect as you don't rip the fabric off the wall when removing patches. Also, it looks like one edge has holes in it from mounting it during the manufacturing process. I don't think this is reclaimed fabric as it is perfectly clean and sealed in a plastic envelope. Perfect for patches but not for use as functioning velcro loop.

The bad reviews are wrong. I use this for my pedalboard with actual Velcro brand Velcro. Super strong adhesion. Very happy.

Patches

This material is so thin and cheap! Was expecting real Velcro loop material and got this cheap fuzzy stuff! Not as advertised, should specify not Velcro loop but fuzzy alternative! Needed it for uniform patches!

It attaches to the hook material really well! I've been looking for this stuff for a long time
