This is a great product. I found out about it from a winery. Their tasting room was full of fruit flies. They would have a glass of wine sitting out and would hold the racquet over the glass and it would just zap repeatedly killing the fruit flies. They let me give it a go and swing it around zapping the flies. I got it because we get big horse flies in the summer. When they get zapped there’s kind of a burnt smell, but that’s OK at least they’re dead. I love that you can charge it with the USB port. No running through batteries or weak batteries or leaky batteries. Also there is no blood splatter like there is with traditional fly swatters.

I can't recall the last time I ordered something which was as gratifying as this is!!! It works great! Much better than a regular fly swatter because you just have to swing it around a fly in-flight rather than trying to smash one which has landed. The snap, crackle and pop when you hit your mark is enjoyable. If you have flying bugs you want to kill, this will do the trick. Not sure it would kill very small bugs like gnats, but it works great for small-large flies.Update: works for gnats too! So gratifying!

I love these things! We have a lot of bugs at our lake house and these are great! Sadistically, my kids love getting all the bugs they can! Keeps them busy and me bug free and they can do this to their hearts content as I recharge them over night!

We love this product so much that my mom in law took the second bat. Mine worked wonderfully for more than a year before it died of my kids hand (he dropped it while hitting badminton shuttle and it never turned on again) so bought the same model again. Now hope not to share wirh anyone and will use for what it supposed to be used for.Oh yes, it kills little flying bugs in a zap. It disarms the bigger ones so they are left on mercy if I escort them out or zap kill them.

I purchased two of these, and after a less than a year both units have failed. Initially, I thought I had undercharged them, because as time went on, they were less and less effective; also there seemed to be a short in one of the devices; it fired nonstop. It would be helpful if Amazon actually provided a link to the manufacturer when advising you to contact the manufacturer directly on the product page.

...And the zap the mosquitoes get is quite satisfying. MuaHaHaHaHaHa!!!

I’ve been bombarded with flies all summer, and my traditional fly swatters have been falling apart. I can’t murder a fly during a zoom meeting because they land on my coffee cup or laptop. I thought this would be a great solution to easily make kills. However, I cannot zap a fly to save my life. Even if they land on a flat surface, I can’t swat them. When I try to zap, I can hear their laughter and they seem to find friends to join in the fun of pestering me. I’ve recently given up on the zapper, and have ordered the traditional swatter. There’s just so much more satisfaction to smacking them the old school way. Don’t believe the hype!

I used one and lasted for one charge, after that didn't zap anything even when it was recharged. gave one to my friend and hers didn't zap at all. I was happy when it worked and told others to buy it and they did and now they are not happy with me. the blue flash light works but not the zapper. so will use it to play table tennis at night.

The product is efficient no doubt. I gave a 4 instead of a 5 for two reasons:- The handle is thicker than the one from a competitor and one can feel the discomfort- There is no indicator showing that the zapping is active when you press the activation button. I modified the circuit to add a red LED showing that it's active when pressed. Otherwise one does not know that the battery is still charged.

My neighbour had one so I got to play with it before I bought. They work and they work well. Although, that little violet light really doesn’t do much as far as attracting bugs. I take the racket to the bugs for convenience. That little light could be a small emergency light though....
