How much movement does this have after tightening? I need to use it to hold an aquarium canister filter closed so it needs to have no play.

It will have small amount of movement.

How many straps included? In one are it says 2, and in another it says a set of 4.

We have and are using 4 straps and I am pretty sure we ordered one set of 4. I think it is 4 straps and buckles. They do work well and stay locked in once you pull them tight. We use them to hold bins against the wall in a horse trailer where there can be a lot of bounding around. They just stay tight and can be released easily when you need that. The buckles are metal and don't fall apart or change with time..

Lightweight for the right lightweight job

I use small to medium hand trucks to move equipment including guitar and keyboard amplifiers and active and passive loudspeakers for medium-sized club gigs. These are perfect for securing such a load. They are quick to use and do the job. If you are constantly moving such equipment as I have, you won't need the ratchet straps. They are too fussy to deal with when you are trying to set up a sound reinforcement quickly for a gig. They won't work on something like a refrigerator or a four drawer filing cabinet that's full of documents, but for smaller lighter stuff it's just the right thing.

What I used these for may be unorthodox but they worked. I strapped my umbrellas to my deck railing because we have high winds when they are normal. These are holding my umbrellas sturdier than they are.

What a great tie down strap

These are amazing. I attached a picture showing how it holds the top of a battery box on a RV secure. The buckle is very easy to use. I bought the 1 m length. I would definitely go with the longer ones as they don't cost very much more and you could shorten them if needed.
