Knittingboard, is yet again brilliant.
I've had this knitting rake loom (112 Pins on each side) for a little while and I do think it is designed very well. But it can use up a lot of yarn and Weight 4 yarn needs to be doubled (2 strands or double wrap the loom with 1 strand) on this loom because using a single strand will result in a fabric that is very thin. So it is best to use bulky yarns with this loom even on the narrow setting also it's possible to use very bulky yarn. This loom is the best loom I've used for Rake it's easy to use for a advanced loom knitter with a collection of QoL Knitting Tools like a Yarn Guide. I don't think the included knitting hook is the right tool for this loom because the metal becomes thick and while catching the stitch on the pin/peg 'cause weird movements. This is part of the reason why I think this is for advanced loom knitters because maybe they'll have better quality loom hooks that'll be more comfortable to use than a cheep 2-8$ loom hook. When you get the right yarn weight you'll be very happy with the quality of fabric this loom can make and it's a good way to use up a ton of yarn to make warm winter items. For the best results to get very great tension on each row you have to pull down on the fabric after knitting over, repeat every row. And . . . I see why the pins are slanted it's a perfect way to keep yarn on the loom and when you begin knitting over the bottom row you'll experience low resistance in the yarn's tension. I know part of the reason why people loom knit is their joint pain after years of using knitting needles and this loom is a perfect substitute for that need. It's totally brilliant! This loom is seriously built to last, the Pins are very durable and there is not enough flex in the wood frame to ruin your tension it is always strong enough to stay firm. -If you are new to knitting rake this loom wouldn't be terrible to learn with, you'll have the chance to work on color patterns and learn how to never use one knot! Overall this loom will last a long time and to me it is beautiful. In these pictures with 1 strand per color I've double wrapped my loom in a red Figure-8 double wrap and a blue & yellow 2 color stockinette double wrap using Carron Simply Soft. So I had the results as if I used 2 strands of yarn in each row, the Figure-8 wrap turned out to be a much tighter and thicker fabric from doing this and it is lovely! I recommend this for advanced loom knitters it is overall designed very smart and simple.

Great product.
Love it easy to use the s curved loom made the yarn very tight and hard to work with. This one is great. Would suggest an online link to youtube video or website to show how to cast on and off.

great with most yarns
At first I was doubtful about this loom when it arrived but after working with it for a bit I have to say...I am in love with it. The blankets come out a great width, soft, and fairly fast to make. The plastic pegs are durable this far but I wish they were bigger to use with my faux fur yarn, the pegs are very close together as well. This works great with regular yarn but position impossible with faux fur yarn.

Loom sent was not the loom in the pictures posted at time of purchase.
First of all- I didn’t receive the same loom that was pictured here. The loom that was shown had metal pins and a small metal badge with the company name on it. I received the one that is in the pictures now that has the plastic pegs. When I got the loom and saw this, I went back to the Amazon listing and they had changed the picture and description to reflect the “newer” model with the plastic pegs. That just annoys me to no end. I don’t like not getting what I paid for. I wanted the metal pinned loom, not the plastic one that they sent. I don’t care if the new model is lighter. They also sent me the blue plastic loom hook instead of the pictured wooden version. Since they had already changed the picture by the time I received it, I figured that I couldn’t get the metal one that I paid for and decided to keep the plastic one.The plastic pins are the same as the KB Afghan loom in the “S” shape. I don’t really like the pins bc my work slips off easier compared to the competitor’s looms that have pins with larger heads. They seem like they are solidly seated in the loom and I haven’t had any fall out yet. They sent 2 spare pegs and I’m assuming it’s just in case a peg breaks. This loom is adjustable and comes with 2 sets of different sized bolts, extenders with no pegs and extenders with one peg. If you use the smaller bolts with the one peg extenders, the gap that your work comes through is so small that the work doesn’t feed through without having to physically pull at it. That renders those useless to me. I tossed those. I had to go on their website and buy the longer peg extenders to use it that way.I noticed a slight bowing of one of my rakes when I received it. It also bowed together in the middle with mild yarn tension when I was doing a double rake knit. I guess that’s unavoidable at the length this loom is and it didn’t seem to affect my blanket much. The loom is not 38” long. The overall size is 37” and the rake itself is 36” from the center of the first peg to the center of the last peg.The long bolts that they send to use with the extenders are bolted on with wing nuts. The ends of the bolts stick out almost an inch and they constantly catch on my work and pull the stitching. That’s nothing that can’t be fixed by stretching my work out but, still super annoying!! The wings on the nuts also catch my work and pull my yarn. The only way to avoid this is to place duct tape over them. My Pomeranian that likes to sit on my work tripped over the loom and the bolt area poked her causing her to yelp which hurt my heart:(I have made 2 Afghans on this loom and it is easier and less cumbersome than the S loom. Still needs a few adjustments KB! Shorter bolts with nuts and plastic caps to cover them would help. The gauge is too small to be able to use the one peg extenders that are included with this loom. Send at the very least the 6 peg extenders so you can actually have your work pass through the gap. I would have paid an extra 10 bucks (which is how much they are on their website) to have what I needed.Overall, it’s an okay loom with a design that the company needs to work on. You can definitely make an Afghan on this with a bit of patience. Just for reference- when I used a figure 8 stitch double knit with 2 strands of size 4 red heart super saver yarn, once off the loom my blanket stretched to about 5ft wide.

Great if you're making a larger project.
A well made piece. If you need to make something large it is a great product. I use it sitting in my recliner and the board sits on the chair arms at just the right height to work my project.

My new favorite loom for blankets.
This is my new go to for doing blankets. I love blankets, love being able pick out the one I want to use, but I hate buying them. I love to make things and have started a panel for my king sized bed with it. The only thing I don't like is that it seems the manufacturer The Authentic Knitting Board company is no longer making this one or has reduced the quality made to only a few sellers. I have the s shaped loom from the same company but its not my favorite.4 stars due only to the lack of availability. Otherwise its an absolutely perfect loom.
