Filtered Super Creamy Yellow Shea Butter - 16 oz

well i have heard some noise about how this isn't REAL shea butter etc. so on... in fact, there is a whole lot of contencious debate on the issue so i will leave that alone, because i am no expert. in fact, this is the first time i have ever bought unrefined shea butter, so... regardless of whether you think the shea from western africa or eastern africa is better, this stuff did what i bought it for so...i wanted to see 3 things within 1 month:reduce drynessimprove tonereduce scar tissuei have been using it for about 1 month AND the #1 dryness went away immediately - first use. i have dry, dry, dry heat in my house so this was fabulous. #2 i saw start to happen within about a week and my skin color is evening out all over my body and i'm seeing fewer bumps, etc. #3 started to really be noticeable at around 2 weeks.now i had 2 bonus finds:#4 stretch marks are fading - appx. 3 weeks (i knew about this, but i wasn't expecting so soon)#5 celulite is disappearing - also appx. 3 weeksi am a little over weight and not terribly athletic so... i had patches of what i lovingly refer to as chicken skin - basically cellulite. i didn't really believe that there was any product that would really help with that, so i wasn't expecting that result. however, within about 3 weeks the cellulite on the backs of my legs and butt are over 50% reduced so...needlesss to say - i'm happy = 5 stars :)---------*** note i did very little processing to the shea butter other than lightly microwaving (appx. 20 - 30 seconds for entire 16 oz pack - just enough to lightly soften it), whipping appx. 20 - 30 minutes, adding sea buckthorn oil (appx. 1 tablespoon to entire pack) and adding some french lavendar (roughly 20 - 30 drops) for scent only.CAUTION: this stuff will turn your stuff a little yellow, especially if you want to try my mix with the sea buckthorn oil as they are both yellow so...

A co-worker of mine as evenly toned and well moisturized skin, so I asked her what was her secret. She told me that she used raw shea butter mixed with Razaq body lotion. I'm a big fan of Palmers cocoa butter but I wanted something that would make my skin more suppel and even toned. I found creamy 100% natural shea butter for under $20!! It took awhile before I recevied the product but I'm very happy with the creamy texture and the way it melts into my skin. It smells like cocoa butter but it has a more rich texture. I plan on using it all over my body.

I was once warned about using raw and or organic butters and oils that haven't been lab tested according to certified standards. I never paid it much mind. After ordering this product I had a minor breakout that may be an allergic reaction. I have never broken out from shea butter before and this is my first purchase of this particular Shea butter. I don't accuse nor assume that their product is bad but the breakout on my hands has got me thinking that I don't know what tests have been performed on any raw cream purchased online displaying little or NO information about the specifics of what may be in it and the process it took to render the butter from the nut. After frantic research, i found according to the American Shea Butter Institute that shea butter should be tested for lead, mercury, bacteria and many other things and not all manufacturers do that so be careful when you buy. That means be careful with ANY AND ALL types of raw oils and creams from any online purchase that gives little or NO information or doesn't have a company/manufacturers website where you can get clear information and possible resources for questions and concerns. Just be safe. Your skin and body depend on it. Its not okay to just trust that because it says raw, pure, unfiltered that your getting something healthy. Maybe email the seller (of any raw product) and ask what they know.

I bought this smaller size for the rest of my family members after I bought the larger size for myself. The product arrived in great condition, in a timely manner and was packaged well.You can use this straight from the bucket for skin or hair. You don't have to add essential oils to this nor do you have to add a carrier oil. I've found that my family members don't like adding carrier oils to their shea butter or even scents. Children can use this right out of the bucket and take care of oiling their braids or dreads all by themselves.I've found that ordering this shea butter is easier than trying to find it at health food stores, specialty stores or on other web sites. When ordering this product from Amazon, you know you'll be getting real shea butter at a good price.

I do like the shea butter so far, works well. However the plastic container was broken when I received it and spilled onto the other items in the box. Also, this doesn't really bother me, but the shea butter was white...not yellow.

i bought this to clear up my blemishes. i have been using it for 5 weeks now and can slowly start to see results.May combine with coco butter to see if i see faster results

Wonderful Shea butter. Just the right amount of softness. Wonderful color. I use mostly for my skin and hair. I mix with oils and a little bit of gel to style my natural hair.

Product was shipped when told it would be and it exactly what I expected. I recommend this over any more expensive products.
