After reading a good number of the negative reviews in which people stated that the pillow they rec'd was not filled with organic cotton but had the synthetic "alternative down" material which is polyester, I'm concluding that they failed to see that the merchant gives you a choice between org. cotton fill or the synthetic down when ordering and just went with the default which is the latter.I ordered the org. cotton fill and, initially, I was disappointed. The pillow arrives with as much air removed from the plastic bag it is sealed in as it appears very thin and flat. Just allowing it to sit out for about 12 hours and it fluffed up very nicely but, after a few days, some may find that it fluffs up too much, becomes too thick, too firm. If you don't like a firm, thick pillow, avoid this one in the org. cotton material. I, however, prefer that type of pillow.Now, about the smell. This pillow smelled, even after sitting outside exposed to fresh air for a few days and nights, like a cross between burned wood and, believe it or not, pee! But, after about 4 days of just allowing it to sit outside on a chair and flipping it around every day, the pillow aired out to the point where those smells went away almost entirely so that, now, I have a nice thick, all organic cotton filled pillow. If I needed a second, I probably would buy it again. It's a thick, firm pillow but it is still soft enough to provide good neck and head support! One drawback, however, the material is completely sealed in. There's no zipper to add or remove cotton.

I wanted a pillow that was organic cotton fill and firm. That's why I ordered this one. However, it is 100% polyester filled (very soft), made in China, with what looks like an organic cotton cover. It is not what I would call a firm pillow. So, if you are looking for firm try another one. They look like good quality pillows, just not what I had expected.

It's nice that it's organic and safe. It is a lil thick though but sturdy. Overall, I like it. No chemical smell. A third of your life is spent on your pillow.

I like the perfect comfort of the pillow, so did my husband. We were both pleased. I was impressed with the environmentally friendly shipping packaging, and the cost brought smiles too. One of my best purchases.

I bought these pillows for my wife who has several issues with her neck and finds that a bad pillow will give her bad head aches and neck problems, these pillows really help with these problems, would buy these again
