I bought this to use in the bathroom with a USB rechargeable toothbrush. It works fine even though the European plug pin diameters and separation are slightly different from those of a UK two pin shaver plug. I understand that modern UK shaver sockets can accept both types of plug. and this proved to be so. The adaptor is slim and light and should be OK for travel in Europe.

These come in a pack of two. The first one worked fine but the second short-circuited with a pop and a burning smell as soon as I plugged it in, frying my charging lead (mercifully, I had t plugged my device in). No info anywhere about the “PICILOO 12-month warranty” advertised in the listing - in fact I can’t find a website for a company called “PICILOO” at all. I suspect the “CE” claim is bogus.

I have not used this item at all but returned it straight away when I realized there is going to be a light on as soon as you charge something in it. Not at all ideal if you want to charge in your bedroom over night.

I bought this for a trip to Switzerland. The Swiss sockets are similar but different from the EU ones. Many EU plugs fit into Swiss sockets, but many don't due to the thickness of the pins and the shape of the plastic surround. These ones fitted fine.As a travel phone charger they worked well, but the blue LED is quite bright and a bit distracting if it's in your eyeline while sleeping. I also have some concerns about the longevity of the internals as these seem cheaply made. Fine for a holiday but I'd be surprised if they last a year under continuous use.

The description says it charges two devices at once. I plugged in my Samsung S8 and a iPhone 6S with the S8 in the 2.1A slot and the 6S in the 1A slot. Both devices then cycled between charging and not charging with their screens going off and on and making the charger connected noise. It can charge one device well and it can do fast or slow charging but it cannot charge two at once. I didnt realise how bright the LED lights on it would get as when I sleep the whole room gets a slight blue glow. They are good for what they are but charging two devices at once seems to be a lie and you should hope you have some electrical tape the cover the light with if you are sleeping.

Even on 2.1amps my Samsung S21 complained about its output. From 20% it would take 7 hours for a full charge!On 1amp it didn't even register as charging.They'll be dumped.PS. I didn't dump. Found a use, the "fast" charge 2.1amp is sooo slow you can charge overnight without the phone ever reaching 100%. Put on last night at 20%, still hadn't reached 100% 8 hours later!? Good for the battery?

So far this has worked well and is much more compact than UK plugs and adapters. It does have a rather bright blue light, which might be useful to some as a night light, but I found it annoying and stuck some tape over it.

This does not have a ground or earth connection which is why I bought it. I have a grounded version which fits most continental socket outlets but not all because on some older sockets the projecting pin is just slightly too large for the hole in the plug. Without a hole the plug fits the socket whatever the diameter of the earth pin which projects from the socket
