Gorilla Automotive 71683N "The System" Acorn Wheel Locks (1/2" Thread Size) - For 5 Lug Wheels

I have American Racing wheels, with a rather small hole surrounding the lug nut. The Gorilla System did the trick. Fit in perfectly, and I would say a thief's chances are almost nil to get these wheels.Only slight gripe I would have is I wish seller has 6 nut and 8 nut per wheel combinations, as not all after market wheels are 5 lug. Still, I bought two sets, and have right hand and left hand locks, now, but the look is superb and the cost for two sets of Gorilla's was at least 20% below my other options.I highly recommend these!

This is a nice product, but didn't work for my application because the 60 degree taper surface was too small for my wheels. (I mean, they would have worked, but because the lug taper surface was smaller than the tapered bearing surface on the alloy wheels, they could have deformed the wheel taper after repeated torquing.) Photo compares stock lug to the Gorilla lug taper surface. I hope this data helps someone. The outer diameter of the taper surface is about .908" (23.25mm). In the caliper photo it says 0.915, but the plastic is .0035 thick, so...

These lugs look good and offer me peace of mind. If/when wheel thieves make their way to my 2016 Ford Edge Sport, they'll likely leave to find an easier target. Ditch those stock wheel locks and get great protection for less than $50. If you're considering these lugs, I would advise you to get an additional key using the code that comes in the box of lugs ($15). As others have reported, your lug key may get inadvertently left behind at the shop where you get your tires rotated. Also, unless you're going on a road trip, NEVER keep the lug key in your car. If you're not traveling far from home (in and around town), it's likely you or a loved one could obtain the lug key rather easily in an emergency. Wheel thieves will simply break out a window, grab the wheel key out of your glove box and make off with your wheels. Personally, I'd rather replace a window than a window, plus all of my wheels. ;-)

I used this set of locking lug nuts on my 2014 Nissan Altima and am thankful for the protection of my wheels and tires now. I ordered these because a thief had tried to steal my Right rear wheel and tire and apparently was interrupted by entry in to the parking lot as they had put a boulder under the middle right side of my car to drop the car down on after removing my wheel. 3 of the 5 lug nuts were recoverable and had to buy 2 at my auto parts store.

Bought this set for my 2004 Jeep TJ Rubicon when one of the OEM nuts fell apart taking it off. They use a standard iron lugnut with what appears to be a tinplated cover, which separated. The Gorilla nuts are solid, very well chromed. It's great to have a locking lugnut on each stud too - and being they're all the same, they look much better than 4 OEM nuts and one locknut. Shipping was amazing too. I live in Canada and these aren't available on amazon.ca so I ordered them from amazon.com. I had them at my door in 8 days! Can't beat that. Have bought two other sets too. One for my other vehicle and one as a gift to my son for his. A great product in my opinion.

I have been using this product for decades. I have never lost a set of wheels. Many vehicles aren’t listed, so I wanted to confirm that yes these will fit Kia vehicles with the correct tread pattern. Which they all share. Here’s a photo of them on my K5 wheels.

Gorilla "The System" wheel locks look great on my new 2012 Ford Taurus, and fit perfectly. The only problem is the key. The key that comes with the set has a 13/16" hex drive, but the lug wrench supplied with the car is for 3/4" nuts. Fortunately, Gorilla offers the option of 3/4" drive when you order an extra key, so I carry the 3/4" drive key in the car, and keep the original 13/16" drive key in my tool chest as a spare.
