Great Product - Works well for SERIOUS foot problem!
I bought this product for a condition for which it was not intended. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it worked better for that condition than any product I have been able to find in over a year of searching.Due to complications of diabetes (and stubborness) I had to have a Chopart amputation done on my right foot almost two years ago. (Basically, this means that my foot is symmetrical, front to back. It appears that I have a heel on the front and the back) This type of amputation makes it somewhat difficult to attach any kind of prosthetic. The solution in my case was to provide a brace with a rigid sole plate and a toe filler that keeps my shoe in place and gives me a rigid replacement for the front 2/3 of my foot. The remains of my actual foot ride in what amounts to a dense foam socket comprising a type of ball and socket joint.Because of this situation, my foot swivels inside the toe filler constantly when I walk. This results in friction against the foot and the scar tissue left from the surgery, build up of callous, and constant mild pain. I have tried every lotion I could find as well as lotions specifically designed for amputees and for this application.. None of them have worked.I ran across WalkGoo a few days ago while looking for sonething totally unrelated, read the description, and thought I would give it try. When I first used it it immediately eliminated the friction problem and after only a few days use it seems to be softening the scar tissue and callus. I wish someone had told me about this product long ago because I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on other products that did not work.

Fantastic find for runners.
While this was much thicker than I expected (goo is very much the appropriate description), I found it very effective helping offset blisters and other friction spots from a recently purchased set of running shoes. Underneath the cap is a hard plastic applicator - you ooze some of the goo out and spread it on your feet (or the targeted area) and then put a pair of socks on to help contain the mess. I found that only a couple of applications were necessary to help break the shoes in, and indeed, it actually relieved emerging blisters and hot spots. The socks showed no real staining or old residue. I call this a success from start to finish.I plan to give this a try next time I am playing tourist - typically I'll rack up 10-15 miles just walking around a city and its sites in a day. This may be a great way to end the day and prepare for the next

Best thing I’ve tried for sensitive dry feet
I started walking more this past summer and while it’s good for the rest of me, my feet promptly threw a fit and started hurting and overall feeling irritated and dry. I think it may have been triggered by an allergy to a specific pair of shoes, but it didn’t seem to want to settle down afterwards. (I have psoriasis so my skin can be extra grumpy.) I tried all kinds of things - fancy socks, Bodyglide, regular lotion, etc. Nothing reliably produced any improvement until I got a tube of Rungoo. It’s super thick, it’s kind of gross feeling, but it works SOO WELL. Except that it’s so thick and heavy that it’s really overkill on days when I’m not doing much walking, but sometimes nothing isn’t enough.Enter Walkgoo. It’s a weird hybrid of foot lotion and anti-rub product, and for me doesn’t hold up as well for extended walking (which they do say is what Rungoo and Hikegoo are best for, to be fair) but for everyday it’s perfect. I put some on in the morning when I get up, and if I’m not going to be on my feet a ton then I’m good for the day. If I have more intense activity planned, I can put on one of the others even though I used this earlier in the day, no issues. If my feet are feeling extra dry I put it on at night right before sleep, too. (I find it soaks in well enough that socks over the top aren’t needed for sleeping unless you’re very generous.)The applicator does work, although I haven’t yet managed to not make any mess at all - but the nice thing about Walkgoo is that since it does soak in quite well, if I get any on my hands I just rub it in and let it soak in a bit then wash any last excess off. With all the hand washing I’ve been doing the last couple of years, my hands are definitely appreciating the treat.

Just what I needed
I was looking for something to reduce the friction between two of my toes -- where blisters would form after a long walk. I did not use the "applicator" but simply rubbed a liberal amount on and between my toes. I did get one blister after walking 8 miles on pavement in Kyoto but simply put more walkgoo on the next morning and the blister subsided. It keeps the skin softs and prevents the formation of calluses along my toes and that's where my blisters beging.I don't know which is better -- WalkGoo or HikeGoo and am testing both of them. The HikeGoo is a bit thicker so might persist a bit longer. The ingredients are very similar.

you know how painful and crippling they can be
My wife and I have tried countless products on her continuously cracking feet. Her heels are the primary problem. If you have heels that crack, you know how painful and crippling they can be. Left uncared for (like for a week) my wife's heels will crack until they bleed. Nothing has ever worked as well as Walkgoo not even close and we have tried SO MANY PRODUCTS with all the usual promises. Do yourself a favor and try Walkgoo. I don't know what we'd do with out it now. If you have heels that crack, apply a liberal amount to each heel, rub Walkgoo in until it stops being absorbed, then put a little more on, carefully put a pair of soxs on, and go to bed. In the morning you will be surprised how much better your heels are. Do this for two consecutive evenings. What a difference in your life. You will be back to order more in these 8 oz. size tubes to ensure you are not caught without it. You can buy the 3 oz. size tubes to try it, but then buy the 8 oz. size tubes cuz it is worth it. We order two 8 oz. tubes at a time (Yes, it is expensive) and that lasts about 6 months. I do my wife's feet two or three times a week which keeps her feet in great shape. We are so greatful for this product. Gold B etc, etc. Do not even compare.
