Glass Canopy for Aquariums with and Without Center Braces, 10 Gallon to 200 Gallon Aquariums (Tank with Center Brace, 48" L x 18" W)

I ordered this for my 5 gallon Betta tank, I really dislike those plastic lids that come with starter kits. The look of the glass lid is beautiful, and it matches my other tank. Seller verified I had measured my tank before shipment, I really appreciate that. This is an absolute perfect fit for the Aqua Culture 5 gallon glass aquarium. Like a glove!I requested that the hinge not to be installed but it was anyway, and the plastic was permanently bent from being folded in the box (see photo) so the lid would not stay closed like another reviewer said. However, I fixed this issue with zip ties and a hair dryer. I took the hinge off and with the hinge bent the correct way I zip tied the middle and ends. Then I put a warm/hot blow dryer on it for about 5 minutes. I let it cool with the zip ties on then carefully snipped the zip ties off and installed the hinge again. I do believe that over time the plastic would fix itself from the weight of the glass and gravity.But looks good, sturdy glass, fits perfectly. Overall great lid, love it! 5 stars.

This is a rave review (no incentives other than my complete satisfaction). The product itself is perfect: exactly what I needed. The most common complaint against any vendor selling glass canopies is that they "don't fit." Pidaz heads this off by not selling anything without contacting the buyer to be certain the measurement are precise. They show exactly what the measurements of their canopies are and even supply a video on how to measure one's own tank(s) before ordering. The point here is that no vendor accepts returns on glass canopies. Then Pidaz ships their canopies so carefully and thoroughly protected that the roughest carrier is unlikely to be able to damage them in shipping, thereby eliminating the second-most-common complaint from customers. The canopies themselves are beautiful, crystal-clear, perfect fits, and definitely lighter in weight than the glass canopies of old. It actually seems that these lighter canopies are more likely to be long-lasting and shatter proof than the heavy but fragile ones of old that larger fish could smash with a single leap. I could not be more pleased, and I have been keeping tropical fish for over 40 years! I have bought 4 of these from Pidaz and will continue to use this purveyor whenever I need a new or replacement canopy for one of my tanks.

Fantastic product, it fitted like a glove on my no name 20 gal. aquarium. Was very simply to cut the back to fit the tank filter housing. It arrived very well packaged and not a single problem with it. I highly recommend this company Pidaz products.

Great high quality product, doesn’t feel cheap. Fits a 55 gallon tank with center brace great unless you have big filters then you have to cut plastic pieces to fit! Handles did end up breaking in delivery process but contacted seller and showed pictures of damaged handles and got replacement handles with no trouble!

Acquired a new tank and needed a new lid to keep the fish from escaping. Why do I always get the acrobatic fish? Found this glass lid with the hinge after endlessly searching for one that fit my new tanks dimensions. Seller reached out to confirm the measurements after I placed the order, which I appreciate. Product arrived boxed, wrapped in bubble tape, and boxed again. Easy to assemble and fit as expected.

I have a 55gallon TopFin aquarium with a center brace I bought used. It came with the standard black plastic lid, and I really wanted to upgrade to clear lids so I could have live aquatic plants. Found this company, and I’m so glad I did! Such amazing quality for the price, and it shipped so fast. I was afraid my new HOB filter would not fit even without the plastic strip that attaches to the back, but everything fit perfectly. I saw reviews saying the sticky strip on the handle wasn’t very sticky so I straight super glued mine to the glass to ensure all would be well. I don’t actually have fish yet, because I am still cycling, but so far my plants and myself both love love love this lid!Be sure to watch the video on how to acccurately measure your tank for this lid. The seller will reach out to confirm your measurements are accurate before shipment!

The width ( side to side) is perfect. Aqueon top was too wide but this fits. I broke my last one on my 55gal tank so I technically would need 2 of these but I only ordered 1 cause I only broke 1.The length from front to back is longer than my old glass top. I would prefer it to be 1/8inch smaller. Only because my canister filter tube is so large is why i prefer it smaller from front to back. I use a fx600 filter as a reference. Right now it fits very tight. If it were any bigger from front to back I couldn't use it.The middle has a hinge, doesn’t go all the way to the edge but it’s thicker than my last one so I understand why they did it this way.The handle adhesive is poor. Doesn’t stick worth a darn. I let the handle sit several hours before using the lid and the handle came off. So I’m not sure what to do, maybe I’ll try super glue or something to get it to stick.Other than my complaints, it’s a good lid. If I break it again in the future I will buy this lid again.
