Great River Company Magnetic Dipstick FITS Honda Generator EU2000i Eu10i

I have nothing to compare this to, and I change the oil on my Honda EU2000i every time I use even if it is only five minutes. The oil has been changed six times in 46 hours of use. I did notice after every oil change very fine metal particles on the magnet tip and these are the most damaging particles.

Installed on EU2000i for a number of hours and then changed oil. There was definitely a black paste adhering to the magnet (very very fine metal shavings). I have to say that it works and would buy again. The same company says it does not make one of these dipsticks for the EU3000is. I emailed them and they confirmed this but would not say why. Others sell them and say they are also good for either the EU2000i or the EU3000is.I don't know why but am hesitant to buy one for my EU3000is. There must have been a problem with the EU3000is. Does anyone know why?

Fits the Harbor Freight Predator 2500watt Inverter Generator Item 61169 beautifully!Bought this to use before I start the break in on my generator, fits great, looks awesome.I'll see about reporting back with what it picks up during the first running of the engine to see how powerful the magnet ends up being.UPDATE:Adding a picture of what the magnet got after an hour of running during break-in, seems to be doing its job very well!As a note, due to this being aluminum, it gets HOT and /stays/ hot for quite a while after the engine is off, however that means its likely acting as a very, /very/ mild means of removing a tiny bit of heat from the oil.

Without question we want our investment of a Honda generator at a high price to last forever but we all know that's not going to happen and so we try prolonging its life somehow. Some may say this is an expensive item to buy but it is well worth inverting a little more to protect the expensive gen. This dipstick will allow you to extend your gen life buy a lot, there's not installation really just replace it with the plastic one that comes with your gen and you are done, the next oil change you do, you'll see why its important to have a magnetic dipstick just make sure you clean it well before replacing it..

Installed this dip stick on my Honda 2000i generator and only after 5 hours of initial use, I pulled out dipstick to see if any metal was on the dipstick and it did have some fine particles on it. Since it picked up the metal, it must help prolong the life of the engine as those same particals would cause some premature wear in my engine without it. I would recommend using one of these as they are inexpensive and should help make an expensive piece of equipment last longer than without it.

This purchase was a no brainer. Metal in oil = bad. I got two of these lil gems for the Honda EU2000i inverter & the Honda EU2000i inverter companion generator. The Genny's are brand new, I have never even fired em off... but when I do... I know they will attract any metal shavings in there and protect my twins.IMHO this is a must have item. Item arrived in perfect condition and will work as advertised.WHY ARE YOU STILL READING REVIEWS... ADD TO CART AND BUY IT.

Mine came packaged well. The last review seemed a bit harsh, I can understand frustration if there was damaged items but the review makes it sound like the product goes through a paint shaking machine when in transit. Just not the way it is, But damage is damage so why not just return item. Its pretty easy to do a return on Amazon.Great product and actually hope to find no metal on my dipsticks as its designed . Metal on dipstick is bad. LOL

Totally worth the money. It collected very, very fine shavings and is much easier to put on and take off than the small factory dipstick. The aluminum will hold its shape and wont leak at all. It has a great gasket too. I dropped mine once and stepped on it while looking for around. SNAP! I was out-of-luck till I got this one. Drop this one all you want. You're good to go.
