I would advise anyone that uses this to reconsider.The red door lights on your Mercedes Benz door panels are not for looks or to help illuminate the cabin, they are for safety. The illuminate when the door is open after dusk so other people driving, cycling, or walking can see that bright red light and avoid an accident that could cause property damage, injury and even death.I’m not trying to scare monger but the manufacturers are required by law to have very bright RED lights on each door that opens to prevent an accident.These add on lights that project images on the ground are a good idea but they sacrifice your safety.The set I ordered here on amazon arrived quickly and were brand new. I was excited to install them as ground projection systems are a fairly new feature found on new model cars and I wanted to give it a try.These were easy to install. I used a plastic wedge tool and pried the factory light by lifting it from underneath the door. It pops right out and has a quick release module for the wiring. Super easy. Installation of these new lenses is the same...pop in the wire module, pop in the lens and that’s it. Be sure to keep your factory lights though...Avoid these if you value your safety and car...here is why:The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was how different the color of the red lens was. It looked like it was a smoky red color. Both had this tiny bit it wasn’t too concerning because these are LED and I figured it wouldn’t matter.These are *incredibly dim*. Compared to factory brightness, very little light makes it through these red lenses.I removed it and opened it up to see how it’s made. You get what you pay for, folks. The factory lens has wiring that goes directly to a 7w bulb. These have wiring that goes to a printed circuit board that has two very tiny dots that are LED and then the circuit continues to the round unit that contains the projector LED and lens which displays the AMG logo on the ground. This projector unit is held on by double sided foam tape and uses a much brighter LED light in order to project the image on the ground.The design and position of the LED’s that are supposed to light the red lens is sub standard as the are not aimed at the lens nor is there any reflecting to assist. It’s two VERY DIM LED’s that glow while the rest of the voltage is dedicated to the projector.You’re literally trading a safety light for a projector light. Not worth it in my book. They could easily have incorporated a brighter LED for the red lens but chose not to for a cheaper solution that compromises your safety. For those of you who think projecting on the ground is just as safe as a bright red door light aimed at traffic, consider going back to school to get a better grade in science. Bottom line: pass on these.PROS:Easy to installCool looking Mercedes AMG logo on ground when door opens. It does look good. Crisp logo with AMG in focus and impressive.CONS:-Safety! Door not visible at night when opened in traffic situations-Red Lens tinted darker than factory-Dimly lit LED light used for red safety lens-LED color is a bluish light which doesn’t work with the tinted red lens which adds to the problem-Projector LED housing installed with foam tape. Will not likely last standard heat cycle.In the end, these are garbage. Why would I compromise my $110k AMG E63? The ground effect is NOT worth it. Ever.I ripped them apart and grafted the projector to my factory light so I can have both safety and the ground effect but it requires skill to integrate...something the manufacturer lacks along with understanding safety principles.

Poor light quality, fell apart when putting it in the door, when removing from door it fell apart and a piece got stuck in the door and was hard to remove. Couldn't even tell it was Tesla logo on ground and returned to stock lights which were much better

it was perfect for my 2011 ml350.. i had a hard time finding some that fit. i am definitely happy with the product!

lens falls out...at least that's what happened to mine in less than 1 week. passenger door 1st then drivers. look into product before buying ...light still works but no metrcedes
