After having my first Scooter stolen, that came with a huge wake up call regarding security & awareness of crime in general. I guess it took one loss to grab my attention. So, now that I know Cable locks are futile (as that was what I had on the Scooter that got stolen), I started my research. I ending up understanding I needed a GREAT chain lock & also a Ulock for backup. (But definitely 2 forms of security). So before I could order anything, a friend gave me a new mega chain. And I got a shackle U-lock for that with another top notch brand. And then I ordered one, then a second Krytonite Keeper for my second (backup) security. I ordered 2 because, even though this was the longest KK I could find (in it's class), it was still too short. I'd also always rather have extra room in a good chain, then have to worry about having enough room to lock it around whatever I might need to. The good news is, as solid as this item is for security, it is still only a few pounds. So even with the 2, on a 50CC Scooter, I am NOT weighed down, nor do I have less power on my bike. I should add. I use both the maga chain w/U-lock shakle & my Kryptonite(s) at all times when parked at home or parked anywhere for any length of time. And then for just running short errands or joy rides, I leave the chain at home & use my KKs only. This is a perfect system for me. I'm sure it exceeds the amount of security I need for the mildly low crime area I live in & yet is still convenient & easy to use!!

I bought a couple of these bicycle chain locks for my wife and my new bicycles. I haven't needed to use them yet, but I inspected them after I received them to make sure that I knew how they worked. I am favorably impressed with how heavy and thick the chain and locking mechanism is. It looks to be designed to be hard to defeat. I chose this model because our expected use it to lock up the bicycles up for an hour or two should we go to a store or restaurant, or something similar. The locks will not need to protect bicycle that is left in public for an extended time. So I judged this mid-range lock to be adequate, and my inspection confirms my thinking that this will work well. I gave it a 4-start on the "easy to lock" feature because the key and lock seemed a bit rough on first try, but this may loosen up with time or with addition of some lubricant. Other than that, I think this will work well for us.

I bought it as a back up lock haven’t left my e-Bike out of my sight yet. I hope 🤞 it helps better then nothing. But it’s rated @ 5 stars ⭐️ out of 10, so the risk is on u😉but the times we living in if u park your bike 🚲 in a brink’s truck they will steal the whole truck if they really want it .

The majority of my community rides bikes, so there are more bike thefts here than usual, which is why I decided to choose this lock for the security and convenience it provides. The chain is hefty, and after a month of using this, it has held out great in the rain and cold. While you could ride with it around your waist if you had no other option, it's flexible enough that I found ways to wrap around my bike during transport that doesn't get in the way of my steering. It is very fast to unlock and lock compared to my friends that use a U-lock. With Kryptonite's guarantee as well, I rest assured that I will see my bike again the next morning.

Scumbags tried to steal my bike out of my buildings bike storage. They barely put a scratch into this lock, after trying to cut it from a few points. Who knows how much effort thieves put into trying to cut this lock but it’s definitely a solid deterrent.
