I have used many styles shapes materials and sizes of bodysurfing handboards over the years. Mostly in SoCal and Hawaii (Oahu). Slyde is by far the best in all aspects - performance feel efficiency strap comfort durability adjustability. Customer service via email AND phone was outstanding when I contacted Slyde about product info, and part replacement when I lost a strap part (not their fault) bodysurfing a large break at Waimea. Slyde website is great with product info, as well tutorials advice on fins and wetsuits, and how-to videos. I’ve been using the Slyde BULA with DaFins (great fins for bodysurfing). Planning to buy Slyde Phish handboard when they are back in stock.

The Bula is probably the nicest handboard I have ever ridden. First of all, the quality of his board is A++ seriously...it's top notch craftsmanship. The shape is very functional for bodysurfers looking for that extra grip to get you down the line...or to make it out of a barrel. The hard rail combined with the deep concave grips the face extremely well. Smaller handboards like the Bula are great for doing spinners, off the lips, butterfly, or any maneuver you can think of! The Bula gives you the drive of a bigger handboard and the trick capabilities of a smaller handboard. I have been bodysurfing for 20 years and riding Slyde Handboards for 3 plus years and the quality if these new boards just keep getting better and better! Stoked on my Bula!

This is an amazing hand paddle for waves greater than 3 feet. I also have the larger hand paddle for 1-3 foot waves. They make body surfing so much fun.
