Awesome all around.
I get the best quality ice out of this. Very symmetrical and clear with not a hint of air trapped inside. I saw a YouTube video with the Russian Hacker who does reviews of all kinds of products. He reviewed many ice makers that claim to make clear ice. Out of all of the ones he tested this one made the best ice. Even better than the Corkcicle brand. While the Corkcicle DID provide clear ice it just wasn't symmetrical and looked more like an oval than a sphere. Plus Corkcicle is more expensive. In my opinion this one is the best bang for your buck.

Fun with water
I've made a couple of ice balls so far. Not perfect, but damned good clarity. There is an unexpected side benefit though. Not only do you get two ice balls, but you get a few large rectangles with the process. The mold sits in an insulated container designed to slow the process for clarity. I removed them and as you can see in the photo, they are pretty clear too. The large cubes serve the same benefits as a large ball.It is a slow process so if you want some for use at a gathering, be sure to start well in advance. You need at least 24 hours for 2 balls. I used 145 degree water but will experiment a bit more to see the results.

Really wanted the ability to make these
Went to a nice restaurant and got the round ice cubes in a nice (and expensive) bourbon. Started shopping the next day! I must have read 20 reviews before buying this set-up. My first ones weren't very clear. I sent the seller a note as requested in their instructions. They gave a few suggestions. My other batches came out really clear using heated bottled water. My only complaint is the way they melt. Mine look like a meteorite or rock when they are half melted. The ones at the bar remained round the entire time. Oh well, they are cool at the beginning.

Dont hesitate.
Don't hesitate to purchase! I have been making my own clear ice using a small coleman cooler and molds. This made the job so much easier. I put a normal ice ball on a plate with the clear ones so you can see the difference.

Ignore negative reviews
Works flawlessly. People posting negative reviews are either (A) not following instructions or (B) not using the product correctly. It's so simple, I honestly don't know how anyone can really screw up using this product... crystal clear ice balls. Every time. It's the perfect compliment to any whiskey/bourbon based cocktail.

Worked perfectly the first time
This is the real thing. My life is made of trying to have a champaign life on a beer budget. This was a successful venture! I opened the box, washed everything, followed the simple 3 step instructions and Wala, two crystal-clear Ice Balls on the first try. The quality seems good with the silicone parts thick and fit together perfect. The plastic is thick and smooth and the insulation cover looks durable also. I highly recommend this product. Price is the best.

Very difficult to remove ica balls from the container
I must be doing something wrong. It is almost impossible to remove the inner container once the water has frozen. Any suggestions?

This one actually works!
Tried several different ice ball makers and this is the only one that actually delivers perfectly clear and round balls of ice. Easy to use and well made. Just ordered a second one.
