To be clear, the tapers ARE stainless steel, but the plugs aren't. They are just painted plastic. I found this out when I sterilized them in boiling water and the paint started to chip off. Because they're made in China and I don't trust that the Chinese use non-toxic paints and plastics, I have purchased a different set of plugs elsewhere.

Okay so I have a love hate relationship with this listed product. I found this kit and saw the reviews were good! I saw pictures of people that got their kit, each size individually packaged and exactly as listed so i went for it. I decided to purchase the black color option and was super excited! When they came i was honestly shocked. In the kit i received, all the pieces just came in one big bag all mixed together(not the end of the world i can put things in order from smallest to largest) but they were also no where near what was listed and in the pictures. The tapers and plugs were clearly acrylic, the plugs weren’t single flare and i didn’t even receive everything i needed for each size. I thought it was maybe some sort of mistake so i returned and ordered a replacement. Dumb on my part bc of course i got sent the exact same thing, missing parts and all. Afterwards i took a closer look at the reviews and saw the only people that got a quality product were the ones that ordered the rainbow or rose gold color options. I decided to take a chance again and returned and reordered but in the rainbow option instead of black and they’re perfect. Definitely metal, all sizes there, and individually packaged which is nice just so you know for sure. Basically i just don’t understand why the black option is even listed with the others because they are NOT the same. Do not purchase the black color option.

Doing my first stretch now! Though i had some complications recieving this product, its overall a great kit to purchase for beginner stretchers. Just make sure you have everything else you need for a successful healthy stretch.Ex: vitamin e oil, h2ocean, antibacterial unscented soap to sterilize the equipment.

I hate these the taper goes through just fine but there’s a ridge on the eyelets that hold the O-ring which makes it impossible to get through without scratching pain and blood ..... UPDATE I had to give up on this set I can’t take the pain and blood that the eyelets cause I purchased concave tapers so much better no more pain or blood .......UP DATE When I got to the 0 gauge The tapers went in just fine but one of The eyelets is Defective there’s a groove for the O-ring but no flare on the other side literally no flair just a sharp ridge around the top so now I’m sitting here with only one stainless steel Eyelet in and an acrylic Eyelet I had to borrow and now my ear is red hot And most likely infected....UPDATE upon further inspection that defective Eyelet isn’t even a 0 gauge it’s bigger I don’t even think it’s an Eyelet I’m not sure what it is

I love this Ear Gauge Stretching Kit! It is very smooth and bright on the surface. Besides, my skin is kind of sensitive, but after I received this gift, even if I wore it to bed, and didn't feel any uncomfortable and allergy at all.Tapers and Plugs are smaller than what they look in the pictures, so don't worry, it is not too heavy. I’m a stater, 14G the smallest gauge is perfect for first stretch. I will keep on stretching my ears, challenge 00G.O-Rings is really a perfect design which makes it can't come off too easily. The package is a simple white bag, simplicity always means elegance, Isn't it? Each Tapers and Plugs Size Is Individually Packaged and Sized Verified.I would recommend it to friends around me. This is such a great deal. I used every piece of this set as I stretched from standard pierced ear lobes to 2g and 14mm(grabbed a bigger set to get to this after I maxed this one at 00g) within the last year. I used vitamin e oil as lubricant. The tapers are nice and smooth and worked great. I much prefer the metal to acrylic after now having tried both. The only downside of this kit is the O rings can fall off the tunnels pretty easily if you're not careful so I've lost a few orings through the process. But I wore these exclusively through the whole process so it wasn't a giant issue. Overall super happy with this.

Durable and decent quality for the price. The back rubber piece’s sizing could be improved. The 14g backs are pretty much the same as the 12g backs so the back of the 14’s went on easy but on the 12s I struggled for 10 mins just getting one on and by the time I did get it on, my ear was sore from trying to get the back on. Overall from what I’ve experienced, it’s a good value and quality and I would buy again.

The gauges came in perfect. I was a size 8 using my friends stretching kit (she sterilized them before letting me use them) and since I was catching up to her we bought me my own set. They came in on time and came with the tunnels and tapers in bags labeled with the right size. I lost a few O ring bands for my 8 and 6 tunnels/tapers but I just borrow some from either a small size or from the other tunnel/taper. If I could I'd give this a 3.5 but a 4 will do. I'm now at a size 4 and I have to wear one tunnel and one taper, stretching one at a time because my 4 tapers are different sizes. It's weird but I'll hopefully get around. In all, this stretching kit is a good one to have and I recommend it for anyone who wishes to stretch their ears just be careful not to rip or blow out your ear. Use good moisturizer (here is a photo of what I use), don't force a taper in, and clean your ears daily otherwise it stinks.
