Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan are an Unlikely Pair
I never write reviews, but for Ideal Home, let's get into it. I loved it. This movie is laugh out loud/ugly cry all the way through. Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan make a funny, realistic, and funny pair with chemistry that had me rooting for their character development. No family is perfect, but seeing these two stumble their way through to creating a sarcastic and sometimes crass family, shows that love comes in various forms and everyone is deserving. I loved it. I also loved the ending credits.

feel good but hypocritical AF
Not all that original but well done overall for it's purpose. It's a feel good movie. But what about the son, the father of the boy? It was a total set up to make granddad and his partner into heroes while ignoring the fact that he, the grandfather/father neglected his own son out of selfishness. Now he gets to be a hero for his grandson? Um... No. It doesn't work like that. It was a lazy shortcut.

very enjoyable
I really enjoyed this movie, I even cried a little. I laughed a lot, and I couldn't predict every line and turn so that was nice. Paul Rudd is always a pleasure and Steve Coogan was exactly right for this part. Not too precious or saccharine.

Enjoyed it from brginning to end
This movie was so good from start to end and I'd watch it again. As much as I enjoyed the movie, the very end with the different pictures of parents with their kids made it perfect, warmed my heart.

Tenderhearted but real.
I loved seeing a different side of these actors and the normalization of gay characters.

Very unexpected DELIGHT!
I needed some good laughter & it delivered. Meow Wolf, Santa Fe part was great. I'm tired of trying to explain Meow Wolf to other's so those scenes are awesome. It's also heartwarming & has a great ending. Sante Fe scenery is beautiful.

More Realistic Than Most Could Imagine
Definitely, added this to my favorite list.Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan played their parts brilliantly. I can relate to two friends with very similar experience personalities. The crux of this comedy is there is no normal or playbooks to raise a child.

Okayish
Andrew Fleming’s (Director) jokes aren’t as funny as Steve Coogan and Paul Rudd are. Steve and Paul made the film especially Paul, he was excellent otherwise it would have been mediocre. Not as good as birdcage.

Great little film
Not an anywhere near consistant storyline, but the effertless goodwill the acting provides allows you to wallow in the happy storyline.
