Grippy as hell when dry, but anti-slip surface doesn't last very long.
These provide excellent traction for hauling sheets, much better than my Gill, Harken, or Ronstan gloves. The anti-slip layer on the palm wears out quickly if used for racing and they do slip a lot if very wet, but I buy them again anyway because I need excellent traction on the bow.

Underwhelming
Just didn't hold up. I race/sail about 50 days a year and, for the past few years have been using Gill Pro gloves which last me more than half a season. I saw these Anchor gloves on Sailing Anarchy and thought I'd give them a try. I noticed after two days of sailing the dye was coming off on my hands along with little black pieces of glove. Didn't seem like they'd hold up very long. I tossed them in the trash.

Good sailing glove
Good sailing glove. The fabric is fairly thin, and I will be interested to see how well they hold up over time. The gloves are comfortable, and the 3 finger design works better than their short fingered glove, where the fingers are too short to really protect from rope burn. The palms are very sticky, and overall the glove has good grip.

Poor Quality - choose another brand
Grip good, poor quality, did not even last one regatta. Contacted Anchor, finally heard back, they promised they would send out replacement pair - for $50 a pair of gloves should last longer - all my others have. They never followed thru on their promise - poor customer service. Get a decent pair of gloves from Gill, Harken or other reputable makers - Anchor is not one.

Anchor Gloves best for PIT position on Racing Sailing Boat!
Love these gloves since I starting buying them about 4 years ago at Long Beach Race Week. I do Pit position on a racing sailing boat so these are great for all the tailing I have to do!

Great idea, poor construction.
Stitching in the thumb crotch on one of the gloves pulled apart the first week. The stitching on the middle finger pulled apart on both gloves in the third week. I wouldn't recommend.

Five Stars
Let me know when they are being made again.

Weak Quality Control / Construction
As others have experienced, these gloves suffer from flimsy build quality. In my case, one of the seams below the thumb failed after a single outdoor adventure run event. Stick with a tested pair of gloves from Gill or other well established maker. RECOMMENDATION: AVOID
