Just so we don't start of completely negative, the broom works. Really. You sweep and it collects dust and crumbs/whateveryouhaveonthefloor. Is it heavy duty? No. Not more than a cardboard box.As for the dust pan. That's where my laughter (bitter kind) began. My wife went to use it, and noticed immediately that it has a curve, so there is no way to put it flat on the ground. We bent it, gently, and it snapped. It was flat-er, so some dust actually made it onto the surface of the dust pan, but majority still went right underneath. She (wife) kept chasing the rest of the crumbs around the kitchen for a while, but gave up and tossed the darn thing in the trash. We might keep the broom, until the better set arrives.

The rubber edge of the dust pan does not sit flat on the floor, therefore you cannot sweep debris into the dust pan (it goes underneath). It is described as "heavy duty" but is quite small and flimsy. The ones I have purchased at the home improvement stores are truly heavy duty, but were not in stock recently so I tried this one. It's going in the yard sale pile.

I wouldn't call it heavy duty, and it's hard to angle the dustpan to sweep into it.

Works great for the price! It takes a beating from my kids and has held up well.

Arrived in ample time. Light weight. Stands on its own, even with broom attached. The broom is angled for ease of sweeping and the handles of both the pan and room are a good length. There is also a rubber guard on the pan to prevent dust from going beneath the pan. The attachment for the broom is a bit cheap and mine broke with little effor, although it still holds the broom but no longer supports it. Since they have been my fault, I still give it 5 stars and shall probably order a second one.

first of all, there was only one pole for the broom and the dustpan. it was made of the cheapest plastic available anywhere!!I bought one from the dollar store that was better quality.Truly a piece of junk. 17 bucks down the drain so i decided to return it just out of principle and the return on it is 7 bucks.Please do not buy this you will be disappointed,,,,, no, make that MAD!BUYER BEWARE

I was so excited to get this set as my kids really WANT to help me sweep. Unfortunately, the dustpan portion is warped in a way that makes it physically impossible to use. Debris sweeps UNDER the pan, not into it - no matter what angle you try to finagle it. Completely worthless. Perhaps the one I received was defective?

Broom handle was Brocken on receipt!
