works, but better when supplemented with adhesive or stitches, not the perfect all-in-one solution
as others have said, using a "glue" to assist slowed/stopped the peeling off on every wash/dry cycle.on itself it won't last that long... the knees break for a reason, and these definitely won't stay put for more than a week before starting to peel off if you have active kids.they DON'T break, and that's a big plus, but they do peel off with hard use and during wash/dry cycles. Supplementation with stitches and "glue" seem the best combination. Not an all-in-one solution, but works very good with small, cheap additions. Recommend, but caveat emptor.

Great for kids rough on their pants!
I have a 7 year old baseball player who thinks sliding anytime, anywhere is his job. He literally "burns" holes in his brand new pants in PE class or out at recess after 1-2 wears. SO FRUSTRATING! Like maybe I should just send him to school in shorts year-round?! These patches are the only solution I have been able to come up with. I iron them on from the inside, and with some careful pinching of the fabric to bring the edges of the holes back together, once ironed the pants don't look too bad. They don't look perfect, but I refuse to keep buying new pants after only 1-2 wears, so this is the next best solution. I like that these come in a variety of colors, too.I hope you found my review helpful! If you did, please click the YES button! Thank you!

Great, long lasting product
These work great! I had a pair of jeans that had started to split at the seam, and was able to secure them just with an iron. You absolutely can not tell, and it saved me a trip to the tailors. I thought I would have to replace the patch fairly often, but it's been over 3 months and lots of washes and it's still holding strong.

I only used the larger packets but YES!!
Don’t even worry about ironing them on! Buy these with the Tear Mender Bish's Original Tear Mender Kit with Patch for Jeans, 2 oz Bottle, TM-3!!You’ll be good to go, and save all your jeans and cover all the wholes they may have.

staple holes
Staple holes in the patches themselves. But I bought these for a Halloween costume, so it worked out alright. These would be better with different packaging.

The fabric is fine. It's the glue they use that is horrible
The fabric is fine. It's the glue they use that is horrible. Even when gently worn the patches start peeling off immediately. We ironed them on to denim jeans, which the glue should adhere to the best, and the patches still came off easily. Don't buy!

Extends the life of pants
These patches are a great value for their cost and the extra life they bring to the knees of pants. Simple and lasting for my son's worn-through knees, I think they may get him almost an extra year out of a pair of pants.

Great Product!
I have saves so many pairs of jeans with these patches! They aren't perfect, but they've saved me from throwing several pairs away! Just let them cool completely before putting any stress on the patch.
