This new rack has been designed from a clean sheet of paper, this is not an adaptation of a wakeboard rack. With a fresh look at previous attempts to hold a hydrofoil most all of them do not take the center of gravity into account when mounting the Ski, this puts a large amount of twisting load on the rack itself so the manufactures have had to anchor the t-bar to something so the unit would not fail. We have set the Ski on the rack so that with the average Ski the center of gravity is centered on the middle of the rack plate. This gives us several design advantages. Now we are working on mainly up and down loads with greatly reduced twisting loads. The rack now can have a shorter t-bar mount that moves with the face plate for easy installation of the ski. The unit can be mounted on the port or starboard side of the boat on a vertical or horizontal tube. The mounting blocks are made to fit the tower you are working with, these are not universal. The unit has a release pin that will allow the mount to swing toward the center of the boat so you don't have to swing the ski around the outside of the tower or raise it over your head to mount it. With a locking assy on the forward deck bracket, and a new rigid clamp system on the rear mount. Once the ski is mounted onto the rack you pull the pin and swing it back into position and lock it. The main backing plate is O-ringed top and bottom so it will not rattle when under way. The unit is made from 6061 alum. Brush finished and tumbled, or anodized at an additional cost. PLEASE NOTE: Rack must be used with adapter that is specific to each make/model of tower. Please note make/model of tower and size/shape of tubing where rack is to be mounted and order adapter accordingly. The Comptech pivoting rack is also "lockable", making it possible to leave your ski in the rack and lock it in so only you can remove it! Please also note which side of the boat you want your rack to mount on. .
