Not Fully Compatible with Older Plungers
My tub is 30 years old and so are the fixtures. The spring on the plunger had weakened and wouldn't keep the stopper raised high enough. I bought this to replace it, but the assembly doesn't properly fit older fixtures. I had to remove the adjustable part of the linkage and it will just work, but the spring is slightly too long, so it makes it hard to push the lever up.

It works, just not as well as the original
Compared to OEM it's much lighter gauge metal, of course the original was manufacturerrd over 70 years ago and a single piece.

Worked perfectly for me as a drain linkage replacement in an old American Standard setup.I know these things can vary, but the length is adjustable and I needed it to have a spring at the end to move the plunger.My old tub has American Standard Re-Nu parts if that's any help.
