I hate bringing bags with me to the store but these are lightweight and fold up. I also now prefer these to the store bags and they go over my shoulder and make it much easier to carry heavy loads. Also love the color on these.

I'm single and typically do simple grocery shopping of a bag or maybe 2. While the local stores sell durable bags they are bulky and either feminine patterns or just not attractive. Also I have a few permanent bags I'd collected from bakeries and the like but they were not exactly space age or packable.I actually first searched Amazon for permanent bags for my elderly dad who does the grocery shopping with the help of a home health aide. They struggled with the typical cheap grocery bags which seem to be more fragile every year even when you double bag paper in plastic.Amazon has pages of options - I bought this brand twice, once for my Dad, then liked it so much when I visited I bought for myself.I like lots of things about these - MOST importantly they work and are SIMPLE.The fabric is strong, the straps are long and durable, the bags unfold easily and I believe the 5-packs I bought are rated at 50 lbs each.They are packable into their own ATTACHED (never lose) pouch just like modern backpacks and jackets of the REI/Marmot/LLBean generation. Super light & EASY. I stash a couple in my car globe box to have wherever I am when I might want a bag - Target, Home Depot, grocery, CVS.They are nuts inexpensive in my view, really surprised how favorable the pricing is.Biggest plus that for me is the NOT UGLY, NOT FEMININE color & design choices. I bought the astronomy themed bag set for me and the Christmas them for my Dad. Good colors and if you're a guy using these at the store you don't feel like you're carrying around a Victoria Secret's type bag getting looks from the other shoppers. Maybe a silly guy thing but carrying frilly patterned bags/stuff is just not comfortable for all of us.This works in all respects mentioned, probably others I forgot.

I recently purchased BeeGreen's moon series reusable bags and the constellation series. These bags are really awesome. First, the material they are made of is very sturdy, yet easy to fold for storage. Second, the design is very thoughtful. It has thick handles for durability and for comfort when carrying heavy items. Other similar designs out there seem to make their handles narrow for easy refolding/storage. Narrow handles dig into your hands/arms/shoulders when you are carrying a heavy bag. This is not the case for these bags. The sewing along the seams looks GREAT. No loose loops, messy stitches, or missing stitches. Lastly, I want to emphasize how easy they are to refold. The company includes very good instructions on how to refold, and there is a video here on Amazon. The reason I bring this up is the fact that some people have a hard time with these types of re-foldable bags. I have definitely given up on trying to get a bag back into it's carrying case because it seemed impossible. When I used these, I was able to put them back into their attached pocket in no time. And finally, the designs are really great. I love science and astronomy, so it's great to express myself and use a product that's helping cut back on bag waste! I honestly JUST put another set into my cart because I am buying a few for friends.

These bags are so light they even feel lighter than a paper grocery bag. All you will have to carry is the weight you put inside of them, whatever that may be. They would be excellent as grocery bags, of course, but they would also make wonderful shopping bag for dry goods. and I could imagine they would make an excellent over-night bag as well. There are so many designs and colors to choose from, it's hard to pick one. I bought the moon phases for my son, but that was the last one in stock. When I attempted to also get them for myself, they were out of stock and amazon couldn't say when or if they would return to stock. I was slightly disappointed, but then I found so many other cool designs/colors to choose from the letdown didn't last. I found a 5-bag set with constellations in five different colors. They looked great in the description and photos, but they are even prettier in person. No more plastic grocery bags or Kraft paper grocery bags. These bags seem as though they will last a good long time, but I couldn't rate sturdiness or durability because I haven't used them yet. I watched the video on how to fold them and used the enclosed folding instructions which enabled me to fold them. They're a bit lumpy, but I believe with practice the folding will improve. Thanks to BeeGreen for making these ingenious bags and thanks to Amazon for selling them at very good prices.

These bags are great! They are sturdy and hold a TON of stuff! Most of the other bags are only 2" deep with small handles. Look carefully at the dimensions! I was fooled before I found these. Now I toss a few of these in my purse and pull them out when needed as I go shopping. Cashiers are impressed with how much they hold. They can hold 3-4 bags of chips and some small items at the bottom, or a few boxes of cereal and a jug of milk, or many items of clothing.In my picture is two boxes of cereal and some other smaller grocery items. It is about a normal plastic bag's worth and there is still TONS of room!The company also has a recycling program you can sign up for once you are a customer. You'll have to find out more about that if you buy the bags though. But I love a company willing to recycle!Their communication is always very prompt and polite as well.Cute well made bags from a great company. Nothing to lose!
