Works Great / Easy Installation / Cover Works w/ 60A and Above
This kit works great on my Siemens P4080B1200ACU load center w/ my 30A Q230 Type QP double pole circuit breaker.Note that the Amazon listing for this hold down kit correctly lists that this works w/ 60A and above circuit breakers. My discovery is that the red hold down clamp works fine w/ my 30A breaker, but the black snap-on screw cover does not remain in-place on the smaller breaker, because the smaller breaker does not have the hooks to grab the black hold down kit cover catch, as those hooks only exist on the 60A and larger breakers. So, this will provide the required secure main on breakers smaller than 60A, it just won't have the snap-on cover for the electrical screws. In my case I am using a ECMBR2 mechanical interlock, so my 30A double pole breaker is at positions 1 + 3, w/ this hold down kit consuming positions 2 + 4.This hold down kit is required when adding a generator breaker to create a secured main, so that it is impossible to remove an energized breaker, unless the hold down kit is unscrewed and removed.

Excellent product
Fits like a glove and holds breaker in place perfectly complying with code for back fed breakers. Recommend

Holds down the breaker.

Works well but only on the left side of the panels.
Why they make these so they only work on the left side of the panels is beyond me. The screw holes are on both sides but no right side solution is available. This is very frustrating for many sub-panel, solar and generator projects. I have contacted Siemens multiple times and they confirm no right side solution is available. We really like their new panels in many ways, but this issue is ridiculous for a few cents of plastic.

It works great.
This is required when using a breaker that is feed from a generator or other source making it a secured main. It keeps you from accidentally removing the breaker and having energized contacts in your hand. The door of the load center should tell which hold down fits your needs. It works great.

Will NOT work in inverted box
This Siemens breaker hold down kit is made for a Siemens box installed in the normal position. The Siemens box can also be installed inverted to allow access to the main breaker shut off at a lowered position, which mine is. The information available do not indicate the hold down will not work in an inverted box. I am reluctant to give a one start review, however had I known this I could have saved the time of ordering it. It put my project behind several days. The product itself is very good, provided you know about it.
