NOT compostable!
Under "Product Information" there is a line that claims these cups are compostable -- they are not. I called the manufacturer (Dart Container Corporation) today to confirm this. The leaf pattern on the cup is also deceptive. The reason these are promoted as "eco-friendly" is that they contain 20% recycled plastic -- but they are fully plastic, specifically #1 PETE (polyethylene). Who knows how many batches of compost have been ruined by people unwittingly including these cups. Beware.
