I ordered two with the intent of having elementary school children use them. One would not latch at the top at all, and one required a lot of force to get it to latch open properly. Too much force for a child to manage, so the umbrella is not reliable for use. I suggest buying something more expensive.

I really like how compact this umbrella is. My son always asks for my help with opening it because you have to put a bit more pressure to open it all the way. Also, it is a very wrinkled material but that's to be expected since it's very compact for traveling. Color is true to photo description. My son loves it!

Small enough to fit in my larger purse so you can easily get it for unexpected rain. Or if you're in a hot state like me , use it to keep from getting sunburnt. Highly recommend

Live the way it folds.and bends...used it on a windy beach and it held up great! And it's really cute too

Was a little disappointed b/c one of the ribs was broken. Was able to fix it , though. Otherwise, it was an acceptable umbrella.
