Rondo Veneziano

A number of years ago I was in Italy for vacation and was introduced to Rondo Veneziano by a friend. The music is marvelous and I made a point to acquire some music by this amazing orchestra before I returned home to Texas. Once returned I began to search for more cds produced by this incredible group but could find nothing in the US. After a long period of time I gave up my search for Rondo Veneziano. Then recently I began to search anew and was deliriously happy to find some of their recordings being offered here at Amazon.com. I would describe the sound of Rondo Veneziano as contemporary classical. Soaring Oboe, enchanting violin....it is an experience not to be missed. Each composition creates a song poem in the heart that is at once liberating and inspiring.

great cd! first time I heard this was back in 1987 when I was visiting family in Italy. My nephew took me to a music shop in a nearby town called Supersonic and they let me listen to it before I bought it. As soon as I heard the first few notes I knew I had to have it. So I bought their first seven cds ; Rondo Veneziano, La Serenissima, Scaramucce, Venezia 2000, Odissea Veneziana, Casanova, and Rapsodia Veneziana. I let a friend borrow the first one and I haven't seen it anywhere until I bought another copy here on Amazon. So nice to hear it again!

Rondo can do no harm

Received this RV disc today, and what a joy! This is the 2nd disc I own of their music, and many more are on the way. Among the most delightful instrumental groups I have ever heard. If you love great instrumental music, you will love Rondo Veneziano. A gorgeous blend of pop and classical styles. I would give more than 5 stars if Amazon allowed. Highly recommended!

This was a real 'blast from the past' for me. I had a tape from the very early days and played it over and over until eventually all my tapes were replaced with CD's. I shall be buying more of the selections on offer. I am mainly a classsic music-lover but Rondo Veneziano, with its mix of rhythmic style and Baroque genre is a pleasure to llsten to.
