I almost returned these sets as they were so brilliantly bright — which would be perfect if you were liking a tree that you wanted to be viewable from the road in front of your house. But I strung these on my condo balcony’s flower boxes that were just a few feet away from the glass sliding doors, and they were too blinding to look at.Fortunately after I plugged these into the dimmer plug that I borrowed from my bedside lamp, the two strings dimmed exactly as low as I wanted them to without flickering or strobing.I love the brilliant electric blue color tone. When dimmed this low, each LED bulb appears as two points of light instead of one, but that is fine as it appears to double the number of lights. I have two strings of 50 lights each — thus it appears when dimmed this low that there are 200 lights.I hope I didn’t jimx their longevity by this review, but these lights have helped transform the balcony so it is as pleasant to look at at night while watching TV as the plantings are during the day.

I love the lights. For some reason, the color calms me down and helps me fall asleep.

I just received these lights today and tested them. I bought 3 sets for my Christmas tree so they'll be for indoor use. Overall they're bright and look nice, and I do like the wide-angle LEDs for brightness. The packaging is kind of poor, they came in a dirty clear plastic bag with no specs but I don't care as long as they work. The blue lights are the brightest and seem to dominate, the yellow lights are NOT true yellow like in the picture on Amazon but more orange-like and seem much less bright compared to blue, and are similar to amber lights in color - so I'm a little disappointed that the yellow did not match what's on the picture, and that the yellow and amber lights are not as bright so I'm removing one star for this, but adding one star back for low power consumption 2.4watts per set, so no net change in stars. I don't know how long these lights will last but the bulbs are not replaceable so if they go out the whole string will be useless. Also I feel like these lights are overpriced at $14 per 50 LED lights. I bought GE wide-angle LEDs 3 years ago for half price and got 100 LED lights - and they're still working perfectly.

These have been good lights for a year.. After the rectifier there are no lights. What can I do?

Poor quality control. Half the lights didn't work.
