Love it, but not the same color as in the photo
EDIT - Seller has updated the photos to a completely accurate representation of the product. I did not change my star rating, it has always been 5 stars, but wanted to note that the photos are 100% accurate now.My tea consumption has skyrocketed since purchasing this teapot, it's a super easy way to brew delicious tea all day. Make sure you season it first (YouTube helps a lot here!) and it should provide decades of increasingly nuanced brews.I used to brew a big teapot at a time, and only the first cup or two would be hot. I'd be drinking room temperature tea the rest of the day. This 9.5oz seemed really tiny at first, but it's the perfect size for me. I use a regular sized tea cup, not personally into the small decorative cups, and this one fills it about 80-90% of the way. When I'm ready for more, I simply heat up more water on the electric kettle and pour it in the Yixing. "Alexa, set a tea timer for 1 minute 30 seconds". Boom, a nice hot cup of tea ready to go! I then pour it into my cup, perfectly allowing the liquid in the cup while trapping the leaves in the kettle for later. For the price you really can't go wrong with this one in particular. I was expecting $50+ from what I read for a real Yixing teapot. Not only is this a great value, but it's finely crafted and high quality. This is a great way to get into Yixing! My only minor complaint is the picture and what I received look significantly different. There's a green hue which lead me to believe the kettle would feature some green in it, but it's a plain red/brown clay with speckles. Still a beautiful piece, just not what I was expecting. I can tell in hindsight that the kettle in the image is the same one I got, but there's very bright green lighting aimed at it to create the effect in the image. Just use normal lighting for product photos! All in all I would still highly recommend this kettle and I don't regret the purchase one bit. Get yourself a nice blend of Oolong or other favorite tea and this kettle will take the experience to the next level. I can't wait to see how the flavor changes over time as the pot absorbs even more flavor.

Perfect for learning the fine art of tea (aka health elixirs), unglazed like this one is the best!
It's very small, but perfect. I'm used to large mugs, so this was a change, but I'm finally able to put my grandmother's fine china teacups to use and know I understand why there were so tiny by today's standards. We overdo everything. The unglazed pot naturally sterilizes the water and expedites the combining and release of all the flavors and notes of the tea, along with removing any phytic acid.I've had babesiosis / Lyme from a horrific bedbug experience; it's very difficult infection to get rid of the infection- in my tea I add chinchona bark (quinine) along with lavender and glasswort. My skin is becoming less waxy and my hair is filling in - after 5 years of trying everything with doctors and on my own. So I looked back in time for answers and discovered ancient Asian medicine. It's an art, its interesting and it's fun and you can tailor your tea to your needs. Mixing a bit of milk or cream helps with the absorption into the bloodstream.

Real Handmade, Unglazed
I saw someone in the reviews say this wasn't handmade. That is NONSENSE. I know my pottery, I've made enough pottery to spot it. People are often shocked that a lot of non-plaster ceramics they buy in the store are handmade because it's actually easier to make by hand. As proof, you can see on the inside of this teapot marks where someone used a tool to attach the base to the main part of the teapot because it's in an inconvenient place to smooth out. Skilled potters smooth their work and don't leave it too thick and lumpy unless they're going for wabi-sabi style or because they know that's the only way typical craft salers recognize pottery as handmade.Anyway, I had to get that off my chest because I love this teapot. I use it almost every day for multiple brews. I adore the smooth and steady stream of the spout. Keep in mind when you purchase this teapot that it is unglazed and you'll want to make sure you don't get lazy and let bacteria and whatever grow in it because you also don't want to ruin it with soap. If you insist on using soap, do not use scented soap and do not soak it.

I should have read the reviews...
Like several other customers, I was very disappointed when hairline cracks began developing on the bottom of the pot. I had been using it for about 2 months before I heard a cracking sound when pouring hot water into it the first time. I heard it once more a week after that, and tea began dripping right out from the bottom of the pot. At this low of a price, I didn't expect perfection, but I definitely expected a pot that would not break simply from being used in the proper way. The lid actually fits quite well, and the pour is nicer than most pots I've used. The clay must be poor quality, though, and the firing process must not have been done properly for this to happen. I wish I could return it but of course I am out of the return window now. I would rather have saved the money and put it toward a more expensive pot from the beginning.

A great pot for the money, as far as I can tell.
My pot arrived in great shape. It is either partially handmade or entirely cast, as you can see some subtle seams in certain areas of the pot (the handle and the spout on mine in particular). That is okay at this price point in my opinion. I'm not sure I trust the origin of the clay, but the pot seems well made and sturdy. Make sure you clean the pot with boiling water a few times before use (never use any cleaning agent in general with un-glazed material, only boiling water). Overall this is a great pot, and so long as the material it is made out of is high quality and isn't accidentally contaminated with anything harmful (as has been discovered on occasion in some cheaper Chinese pots) then I think the product is a great value for the money. If you're looking for an entry-level clay pot for puerh, or gongfu brewing in general this is a solid option.

Absolute Empfehlung!

Sono passati 2 anni dall' acquisto!
The media could not be loaded.

Edit: Ich muss meine Bewertung aufgrund meiner eigenen Dummheit revidieren.
