I bought these for a motorcycle. I cut it into strips to mount under my gas tank to light the engine and inside the rear fender. I stripped the rubber off the contact dots, soldered wire to the dots, and re-coated the exposed portion with hot glue then ran the wires to a waterproof handlebar mounted switch, also bought on Amazon. While the adhesive on the strips was not very good for this purpose some strong 3M tape and hot glue held the strips in place just fine and they have been working perfectly for the past 6 months through snow, rain and heat.At this price there isn't anything anyone could complain about. It does the job of LED lighting 4 times its cost.

The shifter indicator back light on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee had failed. I removed the center console and checked to see if I had voltage when the lights were on, and I did have 12 volts, meaning that the light itself had failed. I wired in this product and it works perfectly, actually better since the old LED strip was green and this one was white. It has an adhesive back and leads attached on either end of the roll so I just had to measure the length I needed and cut from one end.

Not waterproof... Installed them under my car as courtesy lights. Worked for a week until they got wet, water seeps in and causes malfunction. I then sealed a new string of LED's inside a silicon pipe, the kind commonly used for air hoses. Have done a lot of muddy bumpy rides since then and they are still working like a charm.

These lights work, which is a bonus. The issue with these lights is the sticky back, or lack thereof. These DO NOT stick to anything. I had to use a hot glue gun to get these to stay in place.The lights are fine and work as they should.

Love it. It's bright enough as I needed it to be to be placed inside my computer case.The only downside is that the adhesive falls off easily. I would've preferred on first sight if the adhesive paper had a "3M" writing on it. :POther than that, perfect product as described.

Received these lights and the first set was defective. Contacted the seller and they quickly sent out another set. The new set worked perfect for my application. Will definitely buy again in the future if I need more!

These are advertised as waterproof, but I'm not sure how. I bought them to go on the outside of a vehicle. There is no coating (like a plastic or even rubber tube) around them. The lights look fairly exposed. They will clearly not stand up to 60 mph travel. Waterproof maybe, but not windproof. I'm gonna buy something else.

They're good, but need free air to stay cool. I used some as a light source for etched glass and most of the Leds have turned yellow after 4 days of none stop use from the water protective coating burning.
