Kitchenaid stand mixer stopped working out of nowhere, took it apart and the gear had worn down quite a bit. Popped it off fairly easily and slid on the replacement, not it's working like new!

Despite having to dismantle the mixer myself, it’s clear to see why Kitchen Aid made this part the weakest link since it’s one of the major mechanical components that doesn’t break the bank to replace. The replacement part was a direct fit and worked great! I bought extra just incase I needed to replace it again. Delivery was fast as well!

This is a very poor quality replacement item. I primarily use my mixer with a dough hook for bread dough of normal firmness, not too hard. The threads of this worm gear are too soft and will not work under normal operating conditions. The gears will slip with only a very soft dough and will completely strip the threads with anything close to what I would call a "normal" bread dough. Since I live in another country the extra time and shipping cost plus customs duty costs makes this a VERY EXPENSIVE waste of time and money.

My husband said it was the right part, but the stand mixer doesn't work to par like before this part broke. I'm not sure what to make of that.

This gear is meant to brake in order to save the motor when over exerted. Lots of grease inside but watched a YouTube video & followed the steps to fix my kitchenaid.

While this is the correct part for my kitchenaid, its teeth were slightly shorter than the original part, which means the gear slipped multiple times. You are better off spending the money for an official replacement part, something I ultimately did.

The repair of the mixer was really easier than I thought it would be.

What a rip-off! This gear does not securely fit a kitchenaide mixer. The mixer turns when nothing is in the bowl, but the gear slips when you try to mix anything. I had to bring my mixer into a repair shop that charged $90 to figure out the problem and replace the worm gear with the correct kitchenaide part that worked.
