Faded Paper Figures began, like all great endeavors, as a side-project. Writing songs between dissertation chapters and frenetic bouts of southern California traffic, John (vocals/guitars) and Kael (guitars/keys/machines) were simply looking for an aesthetic and rigorous diversion. Two or three songs into the process, however, things started sounding incredible--much too good to have come from Kael's apartment bedroom. Eventually Heather (additional vocals/keys) began adding some beautiful harmonies, and FPF became the brilliant blend of indie-tronic pop that dazzles on every track in their debut album, 'Dynamo.'

Incredibly under-appreciated!
I found out about these guys based on a commercial. Specifically it was that Lexus Pebble Beach commercial that Kael Alden (of FPF) did through his commercial music production company Robot Repair. The music from that commercial sounded right up my alley so when I found this group was associated with the guy that did that, I decided they might be a good find. I tell this story to emphasize how difficult it is to find this band, which is a shame. But if you're here now, give yourself a pat on the back, you made it!In this album, Irvine-based Faded Paper Figures has produced a very top quality indie pop music, heavily influenced by the likes of the Postal Service. The music is well-produced and catchy and the lyrics are clever... in all it has the right ingredients to be a popular album. Nevertheless, I've seen very little press for this group, leaving them somewhat unknown. So if you've managed to find your way to this page, do yourself a favor and give them a try. I've listened to this album quite literally over one hundred times and would definitely consider it one of my better musical purchases in recent memory. Throughout, my favorite tracks have remained Geneva's Gone and Metropolis.

Great Band and this is their best album
I first heard of this group through pandora and soon discovered their albums were available on amazon prime. This album has by far been their best album. The sound is unique and very good especially after hearing it multiple times, very catchy.

Fantastic!
I love this band. Their music fits so many different occasions. It's great on a road trip and it's great to put on as background music when having friends over for beers. So versatile.

De la pop avec un rythme vraiment entrainant
Les chansons de cet album sont tellement douces et entrainantes qu'on passerait la journée à l'écouter en boucle.Je recommande les chansons "North By North", "Metropolis", "Logos" et "The Persuaded".A acheter sans hésitation!
