UPDATE:Have been contacted by a very polite agent about the faulty item and was offered a full refund or a new item to be sent to me for free. I chose the latter, as i really like the box and I soon received it. Unfortunately I realised it was probably not a matter of it being a faulty item, but all of the boxes have the same issues. The new box had the same scuffs and bulge (if not a bigger bulge). The scuffs are clearly happening because of the box rubbing against the packaging cardboard box. I guess I'll just have to deal with the fact that everything I put in the box has to be 100% dry, or else it will leak.OLD REVIEW:I was really waiting forward to this lunch box, but I received it faulty. It's very disappointing for its price! The box is bulged out on one side and can't seal airtight, and it's also worn down on both sides!Such a shame, as it's a really pretty box overall.

Nice box but poor quality control. One side of the box bulged out, this meant it didn't seal properly and wasn't airtight. lid fit very well otherwise but they should have caught this issue in quality control and not sent it out.The seller responded to this review and sent out a second one. The second one does also bulge slightly but no where near as badly as the first one, probably within tolerances, as it does say its not designed to hold liquids. Otherwise, it's a good size, the lid is nice thick wood and the elastic strap seems high quality. I upped the rating from 2 to 4 stars after being more satisfied with the second box.

I haven't personally used this as I bought it as a present. However, she loves it, uses it everyday and always gets comments. The material and finishes are both ethical and stylish.Slick Product

This lunch box is very stylish and sturdy. Beautifully made with natural material and large enough to pack both lunch and snacks. I have two more wooden bento boxes, but this one is definitely my favorite.
