Part of a little bag of small gifts for friends' birthdays. They loved the scent and the brand.

While traveling in Oregon, I happened to come across Pre de Provence. I must have tried out a dozen fragrances, but this really spoke to me. Since October, I have been using this daily! I get regular compliments on the scent. It is truly delightful. Not heavy or saturating. More expensive than other brands, but worth it. This 1-ounce travel size is perfect for tucking into my purse. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this lotion. It’s moisturizing and smells incredible. It has a delicate clean scent that lasts without being overstated. I only have one issue... it doesn’t come in a bigger size. It’s perfect to toss in your purse and use after washing your hands. This world be wonderful to have as a larger whipped body lotion, please!

When I ordered this Pre de Provence Triple Butter Riche Hand Cream in mint leaf, I truly expected that the tube was going to be larger. For a price just under $12, I expected much more. Three of us in my household tried this particular formula - with the mint leaf sense and we all came up with a similar assessment (and I did not share price but asked them what they would have expected to pay). Some interesting and consistent findings.Firstly, when I opened the package I was so surprised at the size of this little tube. Like a small tube of acrylic paint (1 oz) with a cute label and a tube that looks like metal but is really plastic, I have to give it to the Pre de Provence team for nice looking packaging. But the product itself left lots to be desired. Also, when I pulled the silver tab over the top off, I lost a BUNCH of product all over the floor. Yuck. The product was thin and runny. I think that because the tab was hard to get off, I must have been holding the tube in such a way that the product came squirting out. This could have been avoided if the manufacturer created a punch mechanism in the cap to help with opening. Maybe this detracts from the artistic packaging ... but it would be much more functional and save people like me from wasting product. There is so little product that I find it hard to command the price tag. What gives? $5.00 tops or a 2 oz product.Ingredients-wise, they have 3 rather regular ingredients: Organic Shea Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, and Mango Butter. But when you get to the list of ingredients, there are too many chemicals to list here - why all the chemicals? What's Phenoxyethanol, linalool or 1.2 Hexanediol?? These sound more like a science experiment than a simple hand cream. The ingredient list seems less than simple. But ingredient list aside, I had some other issues:Cons:- the minty smell was not nice - it actually smelled rancid which it could be. Maybe the tube I received did not travel well through the elements to South Florida.- the size of the tube - too small to command the price tag- the consistency is much too runny but a little goes a long way.- I felt like my hands were coated in wax. I'm not trying out for a spot in Madame Tussauds! The emollient feel felt very contrived. I felt as if I was actually coating my hands with candle wax. Seems extreme but that is what I felt, even 12 hours later. My hands are soft but feel coated. There is another product on the market that is very similar in name - L'Occitane Fast-Absorbing 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream, 1 oz. which is the same size and about same price. But the consistency is clearly different.- the mint leaf smell in my particular product does not smell right and has a rancid smell. This could be my tube that has gone bad but I can only review the experience I am having at this moment with this particular product.I have tried the Pre de Provence lavender soap (will review that shortly) and this is a 5 star product. So it clearly is not the entire product line. Just this one. Not a fan of the rancid smell, the runny consistency and the waxy feel. -The waxy feel, the size and value and the funky smell and consistency just does nothing for me. One start for the cute, artistic labeling.

I bought this as a possible replacement of the expensive (but amazing) L’Occitane Amanda hand cream, but it is definitely no substitute. I found it pretty greasy.

This is a review of the Pre de Provence Triple Butter Riche Hand Cream, travel size in Coconut.I have been using L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream for a while with great results, so this is partly a comparison between the two. I typically use this 1-2 times per day, especially to fight dryness around my cuticles.The Triple Butter Hand Cream has three butters in it: organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, and mango butter. I find that it is a thinner consistency than the L'Occitane hand creams. The Pre de Provence product does go on smoothly though and absorbs quickly with no greasy after-feel.The scent of the Pre de Provence hand cream for this review is coconut. The scent evoked images of beach scenes. It is a very beach type of scent where coconut scented body oils and sunscreens are the norm. The coconut scent is of medium intensity here and the scent is pleasant but somewhat sporty.I find this product's moisturizing properties on par with L'Occitane's although the latter seems to last a bit longer, perhaps due to its higher viscosity.Overall - this is a nice luxury hand cream that does live up to being a good travel cream. I would buy it again but perhaps not the coconut scent.

Love this scent! Clean, refreshing, long-lasting scent that isn’t too overwhelming.
