Used to keep track of ph in an aquarium after struggling with trying to tell the subtle difference between shades of orangey red.Using this probe is far easier (swish in water), faster (~10 seconds) and accurate (which you can confirm with the calibration solutions) than indicator strips or liquid-based tests.Downsides: while it displays a reading with two decimal places, you need three solutions to calibrate to that accuracy but only two are provided. The calibration procedure isn't particularly clear but the procedure is pretty simple once you work it out (hold button until it flashes, then press the same button again to choose which calibration solution you're using)

Calibration didnt work properly, i followed the instructions perfectly. But when i would add ph up to my solution the pens resding would go down and vise versa. so had to order more powders meaning my test strips are more reliable at this point. Hopefully another calibration will fix the issueEdit: once calibrated properly it works just fine but still needs calibrating near enough every use

Much better quality than other cheaper ones (like the yellow one). Recommend

The product seemed to be an ec meter instead, though the box described it as a pH meter

Good product, I did first assume that it could be manually adjusted from the back but after purchasing I found this not to be the case as it is an auto calibration device. It only came with the two ph calibration solutions which was odd because a 3 point calibration requires 3 calibration solutions. So only a 1 point calibration is available.

Take a while to get a final measurement and I wish the screen was back lit but for the price it’s great?
