Amazing you for the price.
This is my first bimetal you. I have been yoyoing for about 4 months, and during that time I have picked up quite a few yoyos (to my wife's dismay). I saw this product in a review that Dylan Kowalski uploaded to youtube, and figured I would give it a shot as my first bimetal. I'm glad I did.The yoyo has zero vibration in it, and spins forever. Nice Mass on the outer rim, very stable for the most part. It starts to teeter a bit when it slows down near the end of what most people would consider the window of trick opportunity. If you are doing fast play and are working on a routine, that wont be an issue because you will be binding well before it slows down that much anyway.I highly recommend this product if you are looking to get your first bimetal, or if you are looking for one that you can use and not worry about destroying.

Great buy.
Very sturdy, well made yoyo. I wodnt say its for beginners but can be if you are persistant and patient. Has a pretty large gap for the string which makes it super easy to land on the sting for tricks.. With that said, it does require a good throw to balance and hold stable. Has really good sleep time, nice weight and feel. All around great product for the money. Would buy from the company again and would recommend it to anyone.. Thanks!

Possibly the best bi-metal yoyo for the price
It's truly an amazing time to be a thrower. The fact that you can get a bi-metal at _all_ for $30 (actually less when I bought it), let alone a decent one, is really incredible. The step-round shape is very comfortable and reminds me a bit of many Turning Point profiles. It's well-machined, the pads were not sticking out, and it was clean. Something I can't always say for a certain other budget brand. It's also very smooth, with only a hint of fingernail vibe — not something to take for granted with bi-metals, even pricey ones. It honestly plays very close to bi-metals twice its price. It does play a bit heavy, and very floaty, but with that comes a lot of stability and spin time. It's hard to push it very fast, but that's not really my play style anyway. It's good to see that Yoyo King is still putting out great budget metals, including under the Spintastics brand.Of course, there are a few minor downsides. I'm not a fan of Yoyo King's silicone pads. They're way too slippy for my tastes, and I almost always find myself swapping them out for Buddha pads or using flowable silicone. It may be hard to learn to bind on this with the stock pads if you're a beginner. Also, I really wish there was a blasted version, or at least a few more colorways. But despite the shiny finish, it actually grinds decently well. And, it looks really good. So take that with a grain of salt, as it's largely personal preference. If you're in the market for a mid-weight, floaty bi-metal, whatever your budget, you really cannot go wrong with this — but you might want to replace the pads. Good bimetal option for a low price.
This is a yoyo I had looked at a few times back when I was first starting unresponsive yoyoing; I had chosen the P. Lotor over this one. I still have that P. Lotor, but it doesn’t come close to the Space Monkey.Obviously one of the main selling points of the Space Monkey is the bimetal feature, and rightly so. The construction is great for the price point, and the weight is well distributed which leads to very long sleep times. To get a bimetal like this outside of ~$35, you’d be looking around the ~$55 range. For 1A style, this will handle almost anything you throw at it, taking on long combos with ease. I’m finding the body shape lends itself to slack and whip tricks very well. The only reason I say it will handle almost anything is due to the finish on the yoyo. The semi-glossy finish will allow for grind tricks, but it was not made for them by any means. Off a good throw, you can expect about a 5 second grind before you need to return to your hand or regen. The same goes for talon grinds as well. While this is by no means a deal breaker, just don’t expect to perform a grind and then go into a long combo without the yoyo dying on you.The only thing I’m a little disappointed in is the laser engraving on the inner hub simply because it destroys the ability for this yoyo to be a finger spin monster. Just like the grinds, you can do them on the Space Monkey, just don’t expect the trick to feel like it does on a yoyo designed for finger spins. You’ll need to throw at a slight tilt and return quickly before your finger hits the engraving. If the engraving wasn’t there, I’d imagine this yoyo would rival the MYY metal Skyva when it comes to finger spin tricks, and the Skyva is around $55 for the metal version. In all, I wish I had gotten this yoyo earlier on as it’s a good all-arounder and excellent bimetal option for the money.

Cheap junk
The media could not be loaded. I love to yo-yo and have purchased many yo-yos on Amazon this has been the worst one yet because the yo-yo won’t even stay together while trying to play with it

What a great guy
This is a great yo-yo. It's my first bimetal yoyo. Makes me wonder why the other ones are so expensive. I have an iceberg, barbarian, shutter wide angle, Yomega glide, and this is the quietest yo-yo with almost no vibe. I am an intermediate and can do basic string tricks like barrel roll, split the atom and such. The stock wide center track bearing was good, but I installed a concave bearing. It's also nice to be able to switch it between responsive and unresponsive. I can get it to sleep for a minute and a half unresponsive.

Leave it how you receive it and you’ll be happy.
Don’t swap the responsive bearing from the unresponsive bearing. The axel is too short and you will strip out the aluminum threads.

Stuck bearing so I can't say anything more.
Sent back. Stuck responsive bearing. Should come with a bearing removal tool if you get 2 different bearings, but even with mine I already owned I could not get this locked up bearing out. Oh well. Really wanted a monkey image yoyo to play wearing my TopGun monkey T-shirt! : )

good while it lasted
Great yo-yo out of the packet, assuming you have a bearing tool you can change it out to a solid unresponsive too. Bearing needed a clean too but worked out. All was well until the axle stripped and yo-yo rendered unusable. It could just be my fault but I do have 3 other yo-yos which have held up just fine (cheaper too!). If you ask me, go to a trusted yoyo site and get the big names.
