Overall I'm pleased with with these. They are good for working on grip strength and forearm strength. They are comfortable to use. The only thing that I do not like about these is that you have to hold them upside down because there is a metal piece that connects one side to other. If they are not upside the metal piece sticks and makes a clicking noise. This is the reason I'm giving it 4 stars.

So now that I'm a retired school teacher trapped in a pandemic stay at home mode, I felt my hands losing their strength. Those pickle jars weren't getting opened. I got these because I felt the measurements would work for my hands. They are the perfect size and work great. Some I tried were too hard for me to grip and use. I needed some the right size. My hands are fairly large for a woman, but not for most men. After using them for a couple of weeks, I feel a big difference in my grip strength. I open pickles without a problem, olives and other jars like I did when I played tennis and had good grip strength. These are not for you if you have BIG hands and are working out at the gym 4 days a week, but will work great for us reguler mortals.

I was hoping these would replace a set I’ve had for years. They will work but they’re not as comfortable and durable. Somewhat disappointed

I had surgery that involved an incision across the palm of my hand. Part of my PT was to do strengthening exercises. This was the perfect resistance for building back my hand strength. I noticed other reviewers comment that it to easy and/or wore out in time. For my use it was a perfect purchase at a value price. I only needed one so I kept one at my desk and one by the TV.

These grip strengtheners were very nice to hold because of the padding. The spring does not provide enough resistance for my liking but it is great for injury recovery or people who have a grip strength below 60 pounds of force.

As advertised, however, they are quite small and not too stiff. Good for those who are beginning weight training, or rehab (for those with smaller hands).
