American art nouveau

Truly a beautiful and terribly underrated book, considering the extremely low price (purchased the book for around $5 including shipping). Stunning survey of Art Nouveau in the United States, printed on nice, thick paper and filled with high quality reproductions. Many images are in Black and White, but all color prints are high quality plates that are mounted into the book (I find books with mounted plates very beautiful; books like this are definitely not produced anymore, especially at rock bottom prices). Chapters include "Art Nouveau: A General Discussion" "The American Cultural Renaissance: 1876-1893," "Louis Comfort Tiffany and Art Nouveau Applied Arts in America," "Louis H. Sullivan and American Art Nouveau Architecture," "Will H. Bradley and teh Poster and Periodical Movements: 1893-1897," and "Decorative Painting and Sculpture in America." The hardcover itself even has a beautiful Art Nouveau-inspired insignia inlay (the light cover inlay in addition to the mounted color plates really sealed the deal for me). Truly a great addition to any art lover's library or library in general!!
