Great Value USB Microphone – Clear Sound with a Few Minor Drawbacks
I’ve been using the TONOR USB Podcast Microphone Kit for gaming, and it has exceeded my expectations for the price. It offers clear audio quality, easy setup, and a solid build that makes it a fantastic option for beginners and casual content creators. The microphone delivers clear, crisp, and natural sound with a cardioid pickup pattern, making it perfect for vocals, streaming, and podcasts. Background noise is minimized well, and the audio has a warm, rich tone, especially for speech. I was impressed by how clean the recordings sounded without much post-processing.Setup is a breeze—simply plug it into a USB port, and it’s ready to go. It’s fully compatible with Windows, macOS, PS4, and PS5, and it works perfectly with Discord, Twitch, and Zoom without needing additional drivers. The microphone itself feels sturdy and well-constructed, with a sleek, matte black finish. The included adjustable arm stand is surprisingly solid for the price. It clamps securely to my desk and provides good flexibility for positioning. The shock mount reduces vibrations, keeping the audio smooth and clean. This mic handles various applications well. The PS4 and PS5 compatibility is a nice bonus for console.Issues to consider:While the mic delivers good raw audio, it lacks onboard gain or volume controls, which means you’ll need to adjust levels through your PC’s settings or streaming software. Although the included arm stand is decent, it feels slightly flimsy when fully extended. For long-term use or heavier-duty setups, you may want to upgrade to a more stable boom arm. While the cardioid pattern reduces ambient noise, it still picks up some keyboard clicks and desk sounds, especially if you have a mechanical keyboard. Using a noise gate in software helps reduce this issue. The lack of a mute button can be inconvenient for streamers and podcasters who want to quickly cut their mic. Adding this feature would improve the overall usability.Overall:The TONOR USB Podcast Microphone Kit is a fantastic entry-level microphone that delivers clear sound, easy setup, and good versatility. It’s perfect for streaming, gaming, and casual recording, making it an excellent value for the price. While it lacks advanced controls and premium accessories, it’s still a solid choice for content creators on a budget. Highly recommended for gamers, streamers, and podcasters looking for affordable, plug-and-play performance with reliable audio quality.

if you need a sign to buy this, THIS IS IT. Worth EVERY dime.
Honestly, i live in the Caribbean. Mic quality amongst pals isn't the first thing you look for, we all have generic if not above average gaming headsets which do the job. However, months back, my hyperx cloud 2's mic cover was no longer effective. and i was on the prowl for the next best thing, when i stumbled upon the Hyperx Quadcast. i was intriguid, almost devoted to the purchase, it had lights, it had mic mute it had gain control A SHOCK MOUNT of all things. So i set out to learn more about it, what made it so expensive..? Notice how all the above mentioned traits of the Quadcast is present in the Q9? This is what led me to my purchase, I Stopped at a crossroad when i decieded to watch this budget review on youtube about a 'Tonor Q9' which was supposedly one of the best mics he had ever seen at this price point. i. was. blown. away. The product had gone on sale and i pulled the trigger not too long after. THOUGH it wasnt the easiest thing to understand how to orient the mic on the shock mount everything was a turn away from greatness. Plug and play, I set foot in a discord call with my friends and I was showered with compliments and disbelief, " bro you soundling like your shave d bab and everyting yuh kno, like a new man. you fressssh" i heard that for the remainder of the night. The mic delivered 100%. The clairty, tthe accuracy, the seamless - ness of tthe boom arm all in this sleek and stealth 60 dollar product. The build quality can be defined as second to none in it's price range.IF you're looking for something new and refreshing which does the job on a budget level. i fully support your choice to purchase the q9. it's a no brainer, if anything you can alter your mic sound throught other means, but it works fine for me and is almost true to sound.

Great mic w/ starter kit!
Bought this mic strictly because I was in need of a mic, mic arm stand etc. But what's even better is that some of my friends have the more expensive microphones like blue yeti and the 100-200 dollar mics for podcasts/recording music etc. and this one is right there with them I feel like. Maybe i'll notice more fractional differences down the road but as a overall mic, its great. The voice quality is very clear, it sounds crisp, no cutting out, no distortion, just a smooth voice with very little background noise. I use it for gaming, talking with friends on discord, even recording some vocals to see what my voice can really do lol. I guess I'm a singer now! It actually sounds better than I thought. It has soft touch buttons to turn volume of the mic up and down, holding it mutes. It just feels like such a satisfying touch. The design is clean, its the same size all around basically, doesn't feel outdated, too big and cheap, it feels like $100+ mic made with good durable parts and nice edges. Love the basically all black design.Overall, like I was saying, now that I have the mic, I would have just paid that much for the mic itself but since I was in need of the mic arm stand mostly, I went with this. Also though, I got a shock mount which actually is nice for not hearing any noise from things touching my desk, etc. I didn't know the value of this until I tried with and without it. The mic arm stand is nice, does exactly what it needs to do, use to have a super cheap 10 dollar one and it just wouldn't move smooth and this one just feels like a crane and its nice.Definitly will buy again, going to pick another one up soon for my girlfriend, built her a computer recently as well and it will be a good combo to have.
